World Of Ink (A Splatoon Story)

Disconnection

Honey leaned back in her chair stretching with her arms out infront of her, as the rest of the girls ate at the table. "Welp, I don't know about you girls, but I'm gonna take a break and play some turf war." Honey yawned as she grabbed her bag. The group looked up at her.
"Got room for one more?" Ashley smirked getting up from her chair, as she grabbed the empty cups off the table.
"Make that three!" Olive chirped. "What about you guys? Aren't you gonna join us?" Olive glanced at Maya and Lavender.
"Pass."
"Uh, maybe later." Lavender muttered looking up from her phone, to the group. The girls nodded and scurried off into the lobby's doors.
"Welcome challengers! The turf war will start in 2 minutes." The voice boomed over the loudspeaker. The girls placed down their bags, unzipped them, and one by one pulled out their weapons. "1 Minute remaining." 
"Alright are you guys ready for this?" Honey cheered. Ashley held up the roller and put it behind her head to lean her head on, while Olive spun the bucket around her finger.
"Ready!" Both of them replied. Honey nodded as they all stepped onto the platform. The bell would ring as all the other inklings in the area would run onto their own platform, and super jumped to their spawn point. The game was just about to begin. Olive looked around at her team mates. They were all on the same team. Signals would go off as the round would begin. "Booyah!" The team would cry out as they swam in different directions, painting the ground as much as possible.
"Hey Olive, go straight into a bunch of other people!" Honey called out.
"Won't I just die?".
"You won't die, just do it!". Olive gulped and swam into the middle of the stage towards other players. The other team glanced at Olive and noticed the ripples in the ink coming their way.
"Enemy incoming! Fire!" An inkling yelled out as two more team mates of his would back him up firing at her. Olive screamed as she swam past them with Honey's jump marker in the middle of them. The other team would get ready to fire at her, only to realize the splashdown ring was surrounding them. "We've got played... Everyone RU-." The inkling was cut off after being splatted.
"You better run!" Honey laughed as she continued to ink. "See! I told you that you could trust me!". Olive sighed in relief  as she headed back to the center.
"Everything's cleared!" Ashley grinned.
"I think we won." Honey replied back with the whistle going off. Judd and Little Judd came out onto the field to tally up the coverage. After a few seconds Judd pulled out a flag and raised it to our teams side. 74.6 to 26.4. The team won. The girls cheered at there victory and went in again to play another round. Once again the games kick off, and both teams race to cover their ground. Ashley looked around the map and watched as Olive got splatted by her teammates. "Ouch..." Ashley thought to her self as she continued forward inking the ground. An inkling ahead of her would notice the ink trail she was making on the other side and began to aim at her with the sniper over the water gap. Ashley ducked down and made a path way for herself to jump. The inkling swam closer to the edge of the water gap, but still kept a distance as he fired at the area. "How bout no!" Ashley yelled as she swam through her ink, jumping through the air getting ready to fling her rollers paint into him! Not even a second after she hovered over him, about to slam down on the opponent, he disappears with nothing but the ink where he stood is remaining. Ashley landed on her feet. "What the?" Ashley thought. "Uh, Olive? Honey?". The area was quiet. Nobody was there to be found. Only the teams ink remained. Ashley seemed puzzled but slammed roller down. Ink splatted onto the ground.  Instantly Her worried expression turned into a grinning smirk. "If no one's around to ink what I do, doesn't that mean I win automatically?" Ashley thought as she inked the ground. "This is the BEST TURF EVER!" Ashley yelled putting the roller above her head. Suddenly she was forced into super jump and spawned in front of Judd and little Jud on the floor. "Uh- hi!"
"Ashley, sorry for the inconvenience. But you have been removed from the match due to some.... issues going on." Judd would reply.
"Issues? Is it because I had 2 smoothies instead of one! I'm sorry but I had to prove to Olive that I can totally do her challenge!"
Judd sighed as little judd just stared, dead in the eyes at her.
"It's not that. But due to this we ask you to just wait five minutes outside the turf room lobby for this."
Ashley sighed as little Judd handed her weapon bag to her.
"Thanks." Ashley muttered while walking out into the lobby.
"There she is! Ashy, over here!" Olive waved walking out of the lobby with gold In her hands.
"What happened! You just evaporated! Are you ok?" Honey ran over.
"I honestly have no idea! I was gonna splat someone but then everyone disappeared!"
"Uh, everyone was in the match but you." Olive piped in.
"Weird. Well let's try again!" Honey nudged walking into the lobby. Olive followed behind her.
"Hey Olive!" A squid called out from behind. Olive froze up as she turned around. "You going in a turf war to?" Navy would reply walking into the lobby weapon bag in hand. Olive would turn pink as she flustered out a yes, as she followed him into turf.
"Somebody got a crush." Whispered Ashley.
"Ima squid flop him." Giggled Honey as she went into the lobby. Ashley sighed as she walked out back to the Grizzico shop and dangled her feat over ramp way.
"Thought you were gonna do turf war with Honey." Maya commented as she loomed over her drinking something.
"Yeah, stuff went wrong and something happened In the turf."
"Oh." Maya would shrug as she slurped down the drink.
"I'm waiting for the turf to end so I can practice sniping a certain slosher."
"Cough cough, Olive?"
"Yes." Ashley replied. They'd laugh as they watched the rest of the team come out of the lobby with only Olive and Navy holding gold.
"Their team was carried by the blaster." Honey muttered. Olive smiled.
"But I won! :D"
" Sureee..."
":c."Olive sighed at the comment.
"Uh- you gonna join us this round?" Navy turned to Ashley and Maya. Ashley nodded.
"Yeah, I'll joi-." Maya cut off after she got a notification. Maya screamed, as everyone became both confused and worried. "My boyfriend finally texted me back!"
"You have a boyfriend! When can we meet him?" Olive yelled. Maya went silent.
"Shut up." Maya muttered as she walked away.
"Eugene is better!" Honey yelled out to her.
"Don't blame you, he's cute!" Ashley laughed. Olive and Navy just stood confused at the conversation but mins later they all went back into the lobby. Ashley pulled out her weapon as she joined them into the platform.
"Round 2." She muttered. The round soon began and Ashley was teamed with Olive. The inklings painted the ground as Honey was on a killing spree taking out members of the team left and right.
"Hmmmm, Olive go into as many enemy's as you can!" She called out. Olive nodded and ran into the mid.
"Oh hey Olive!" Navy smiled. Olive frozen infringe of him.
"O-oh! Hi Navy!" Olive blushed as the ring surrounded him.
"I've been thinking about it and, well would you like to be my-" Navy cut off after the splash down splatted him.
"Haha! Nice job Olive!" Ashley laughed as she patted Olive on the back and ran off. Olive just stood there shocked.
Ashley swam up to higher ground and saw Lauren down below.
"Heya Lauren!" She waved down and squid flopped from up top. Lauren looked up and squid flopped with her until noticing she disappeared into a cloud of ink.
"Uh- Ashy?" Lauren looked around before getting attacked by the opposing team. Ashley would fall to the ground next to Little Jud stareing into her soul. Ashley got up as she rubbed her head.
"I don't get it why am I here?" Ash would snared.
"Probably the internet connection."
"Internet what now?  My phone has 4 bars!" She panicked.
"Ah, you wouldn't get it."
"Your kinda weird Judd." Judd would nod at the comment.
Due to this other occurrence, please wait 10 mins outside the lobby." Ashley's jaw hit the floor.
"Ten minutes! But it was only 5 last time!"
"Sorry kid, but it's the ones above that make the rules."
"What are you even talking about? You ARE the one that's makes the rules! Can't you spare me this once?" Judd shaked his head as Ashley groaned. "That's it... I'm going to Grizzico!  I'm not waiting again. Peace out!"
