The two got a trey and got there food.

"Want to get that booth?" El said and pointed trey in hand.

"Let's do it." Baylee grinned and they went. They sat down when a girl and her posse came up. El looked down and looked upset.

"Hello new girl. You know who you hangout with really affects you... and your ego. Wanna come sit with us?" the girl leading the group said.

"Sorry, what's your name?" Baylee said.

"Rosalie. Rosalie Williams." the girl said. She had long brown hair, blue eyes, and a stunning beautiful face but really not as pretty as Baylee's chiseled face.

"Alright Rosalie I'll tell you what." Baylee began and stood up.

"I can chose who I want to hangout with on my own." Baylee said.

"Look if you want to hangout with losers go for it but Eleanor Hopper... pa-lease." Rosalie said and took her drink and splashed it onto El making her jump and get ready to cry. Baylee shoved Rosalie on the floor.

"Don't get near her ever fucking again!" Baylee growled and helped El out of the booth and took her hand and led her to the girls bathroom. She pulled out napkins and began wiping her off since El was just frozen crying.

"Hey, hey it's ok El. It's ok." Baylee wiped her off then held her in a hug while she cried.

"Shh... it's alright." Baylee said. El pulled away and looked her in the face.

"You called me El..." El said.

"Oh... is that ok? Or...?" Baylee said.

"I heard once when you give someone a nickname it means you like them." El said.

"Yeah you're my friend." Baylee said.

"I... I've never had a friend before." El said.

"Well if you want a friend I'm in if you are." Baylee laughed. El hugged her tight.

"Thanks for saying that to Rosalie... she really hates me. She's always bullied me." El said.

"El she's doesn't hate you I don't think... I think she's jealous of you." Baylee said. El pulled away enough to look Baylee in the eyes.

"What? Why?" El said. Baylee rolled her eyes grinning.

"Isn't it obvious." Baylee said. El continued her confused look. Baylee stepped behind El and put her hands on El's shoulders and walked her in front of a mirror.

"Newsflash, you're stunning!" Baylee laughed.

"Stunning?" El said confused.

"Ok let me rephrase. The prettiest person ever." Baylee said. El turned to her.

"You think I'm pretty?" El said.

"Um... duh!" Baylee said. El blushed and grinned.

"Now, I say we go back to lunch, get our stuff, and than go find somewhere outside warm and quiet to sit." Baylee said.

"That sounds heavenly." El grinned. Baylee laughed and smiled and they went on their way. They ended up sitting under a tree while El read out stuff they needed to study and Baylee guessed the answers while she climbed in a tree.

"Where does the blood flow start and finish?" El asked. Baylee was sitting on a branch right above El. She wrapped her legs and hung upside down landing inches from El's face.

"The lungs and than off to the body." Baylee said.

"You better be careful. I don't want you to get hurt." El said. Baylee poked the tip of El's nose.

"I think thanks to you both of us are going to get an A on the biology test." Baylee said. El grinned.

"El?" a voice rang out. El turned rather quick.

"Hey dad." El said. Baylee swung back up and hopped down.

"Hey. Who's this?" Hopper asked. El stood.

"Dad this is Baylee... she's my friend." El grinned. Baylee and him shook hands.

"Jim Hopper." he said.

"Baylee Johnson." Baylee said.

"Johnson. So you're new in town?" Hopper said.

"Yes sir. We moved all the way from Missouri." Baylee explained.

"Do you miss it?" Hopper asked.

"No not really." Baylee laughed.

"Dad what exactly are you doing here?" El asked.

"Well I was driving by and I spotted you two and wanted to say hi." he laughed.

"Well hello." El said. Baylee laughed and so did Hopper. They hugged, he said bye, than he headed away.

"Oh wait, dad!" El called.

"Yes?" He said and stopped.

"Would it be ok if Baylee came over after school? And maybe if we went out to dinner?" El asked.

"Sure. As long as your parents don't mind." he said.

"They won't. But I'll let them know." Baylee said. He nodded smiled and said bye again and left.

"Yay!" El smiled huge. The two hugged than sat down in the grass and El continued her quizzing before the bell rang and they packed it up. History was the final class of the day.

They sat next to each other. El was doodling. Baylee rested her arm on El's shoulder than put her head on her arm.

"Whatcha drawing?" Baylee asked.

"A sunflower." El said.

"It's so cute." Baylee grinned. The teacher came in and she sat up.

"It has come to my attention to inform you all that the dance has been moved to next week not this weekend. Since next week is the final week of school, I suggest you all study." the teacher said than gave a long boring lecture.

Baylee watched as El took her notes. Baylee doodled instead.

The class was dismissed and Baylee and El began walking out of the school.

"So a dance huh?" Baylee grinned and bumped El a little. El grinned.

"I'm not going to that. I'd rather not sit alone all night." El said.

"Uhm." Baylee cleared her throat and El looked at her. Baylee grinned and raised her brows.

"Wait are you asking me to-?" El was a little confused.

"Yeah." Baylee laughed. El smiled huge.

"Yes." El grinned.

When they got to El's house they studied until Baylee was so bored she could hardly stand it so they left to go get some food.
