Kath got out of the car, DJ following along behind, getting increasingly nervous.

"Your parents will be okay with me coming in?" DJ asked and Kath bit her lip, pulling her keys out of her pocket.

"They're not here." She said simply, before unlocking the door and she led the way inside, shutting the door once DJ had come into as well. He found himself looking around the hallway, seeing the walls cluttered with framed pictures - he could easily recognize Kath even when she was a toddler, her eyes gave her away. He could tell, also, that both Kath and her sister looked a lot like their mother. "I'm home!" Kath called, dumping her keys on the table.

"Hey-!" Kaye cut herself off, her eyes narrowing on Kath's lip that she was too slow to try and hide from her older sister

"Hey-!" Kaye cut herself off, her eyes narrowing on Kath's lip that she was too slow to try and hide from her older sister. "What the fuck happened to your face?" Kaye marched over to her, not noticing DJ at all in her worry for her sister and she pulled Kath's hand away from her mouth so she could see.

"Nothing, okay? I just fell, it's fine."

"You fell? Against what? A kid's fist?" Kaye urged and Kath sighed.

"I'm dealing with it."

"You shouldn't have to! For fuck sake! You're beautiful! Why can't people just be fucking decent human beings?!" Kaye ran her fingers through her hair out of clear frustration but she jumped in shock when she turned herself slightly and finally noticed DJ. "Who... who are you?"

"I'm DJ... I'm her friend." DJ introduced himself and Kaye looked over to Kath.

"You don't have to look so damn surprised," Kath mumbled, but she cracked a smile when Kaye did.

"Well, I guess I'll leave you to it - I gotta head to work anyway," Kaye said, heading to the door.

"Wait, what? I thought you were off today?" Kath questioned.

"Yeah, so did I! But Greg's girlfriend went into labor or something last night, so now I gotta pick up his shifts. I'll be home later." Kaye blew her sister a kiss before walking out of the house and Kath sighed.

"You okay?" DJ asked and Kath nodded her head slowly.

"It just gets a little lonely sometimes." She admitted.

"Well, you have me and Arisse and JC now," DJ said with a smile and Kath gave him a nervous smile back, nodding her head.

"I, um... haven't really had friends before." She said honestly and DJ gave her arm a gentle squeeze.

"Well, get used to it - especially Arisse, because once she latches onto you as a friend, she won't let go," DJ said and Kath let out a small laugh.

"Anyway, do you want a drink before we go upstairs? We can do homework or something." She suggested and DJ shook his head.

"No, I'm good for a drink." He followed behind Kath as she headed up the stairs, the walls covered with more pictures and he smiled when he noticed one of Kath and Kaye together when they were much younger - Kaye had her arms locked around her little sister in what looked like a candid shot of them, the two girls laughing.

"You might know where you know me from now," Kath said as she opened the door to her bedroom, leading him inside and DJ's jaw dropped when he stepped in and the first thing he saw was a computer set-up across the room. There was a desk, a light, a comfortable looking chair and an obviously very expensive computer with a microphone and a headset.

"Damn... that's insane." He breathed, but his eyes widened more when he saw something framed on the wall behind the computer set-up and he rushed to it so he could see the small words underneath: 'Congratulations on 10 Million Subscribers!'. "FallingSquirrel..." He read the username underneath and his jaw dropped, looking back at her. "You're FallingSquirrel?!" He exclaimed and Kath laughed, dropping down onto her bed.

"Yeah, and that YouTube plaque is old as shit - I've hit fifteen million since then." She teased and DJ stared at her in shock.

"Dude, I knew I recognized your voice... when I was in the hospital and when I was recovering, I found your gaming videos. Nobody knows what you look like or who you are!" He dropped down onto the bed beside her and Kath's smile widened.

"Glad I could help."

"You playing Cards Against Humanity with all the big YouTubers, writing in shit about them in blank cards... I had to call a nurse so many times because laughing too much would make my pain worse." DJ said, but he was smiling and he couldn't help but chuckle when she laughed.

"You're welcome?" She laughed.

"Why call yourself FallingSquirrel? Why hide away? You're the most popular female gamer on the entire website." He urged.

"I just found the username funny - instead of flying squirrels, I was falling." Kath shrugged. "And I hide because of my fans and my videos... I can be me. But I've been thinking of vlogging for a long time on a second channel, it's just... scary." She admitted, gasping when DJ leaned in and kissed her - her first kiss. "What...?"

"I'm sorry, I... it felt right." He breathed, but it was almost instantaneous that they kissed again.
