One Week Later

Elsa didn't want to talk to anybody for the past week. Still all she can remember is what took place last week once the police arrived at the flea market.

The police have escorted Rapunzel and Elsa back home. The girl had stepped out of the police car when the front door opened and the Coronas and ran out––Mr. Corona went to hug Rapunzel while Mrs. Corona engulfed Elsa in her arms.

Without realizing it, Elsa hugged her back with all the strength she possessed.

They go back inside the house while the police followed them and started to ask Elsa what felt like million questions.

"Can you recall exactly what you saw?"

"What was the man wearing?"

"What time was it?"

"Which direction did you see him go last?"

She tried to her to answer the questions they threw at her. And at the end of the long and exhausting day, the reports came back that there were no signs of Luke making an appearance. The police asked and interrogated around but no one saw anybody under the description stated.

It was like she imagined him.

That night, Elsa went to her room and didn't dare speak to anyone.

But the same night, Rapunzel silently placed a small box by the nightstand. "From Jack," she said, "This is why are were waiting for him. He went to by this and told me to give it to you."

And when Rapunzel went to take a shower, Elsa reached for the box and opened it. Her hands shake when she opens the lid and finds a necklace and laying inside.

A beautiful blue crystal necklace in the form of a snowflake forged in intricate detail.

It somehow made her feel better. It brought her comfort and fond memories of her past––Elsa and her family playin in the snow, Anna and her having a snowball fight and building a snowman, and afterwards they would all gather around the fire and have a mug of hot chocolate.

The memories slice through her and fill her with sorrow and yet. . . .the fact that Jack got her this necklace, without knowing the memories it would bring, but because he just wanted to so something nice for her was enough for Elsa to forget the sad memories and feel a sense of joy.

But that was a week ago. She hasn't seen Jack since then. And she misses him dearly. She missed him so much Elsa debated whether or not if she should call him. But that didn't seem practical.

For the past week, Elsa has tried to forget the fact that she embarrassed herself when she thought the man was Luke. But according to the police, there were no indicators that Luke was there. They kept assuring her it was her imagination or that she maybe mistaken someone who happened to look like him. Either way, she embarrassed herself and hasn't made any effort talk about what happened.

The only good thing that came out of the week was that she got her cast taken off. No longer does she need to limp round or bring her crutches everywhere she goes. Not to mention, Elsa can finally scratch her leg. A small relief compared to the hectic week.

Somehow, Elsa managed to kill time until it was dinner. She was petting Maximus after he hopped on the bed and laid down next to her when Mrs. Corona walked in.

She sits on the bed as Elsa strokes Maximus's silky fur. "Dinner should be ready in a few minutes," Mrs. Corona announces, nodding her head to the door.
