Rain's POV

Laying alone in my bed...

I can hear the clock ticking...

I checked...

Its 12:30 am...

Why cant i sleep?

I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I went outside of my room and closed the door behind me. I brought the teddy bear that mom gave me just incase i feel alone or scared...

I looked at the hallway towards the exit and saw the moon's light illuminating from the giant window. .

I slowly and nervously walked out and saw the entrance towards the living room.

I lightly gasped when i saw a silhouette..

My heart was racing.... Who could it be?!

No one could be awake at this hour!

I slowly peeked and saw a man standing indront of a giant window pane.

Wait.... Thats...Grandpa...

I walked towards him and suddenly...

"Took you long enough"

He said. I looked at him and he turns around.

My squeezed all my fear into my teddy bear and looked down.

Grandpa kneeled down and placed a hand on my shoudler. He lifted my chin up with his finger and smiled at me tenderly..

That made me calm a bit but i was still very scared..

"why are you so frightened?" he asks

How did he know that??

"Uhh.. Am i?" i asked

He chuckles and said,

"Ive been waiting for you" he said

"well, that's a bit weird..How'd you know I'd be here?" i asked

he smiled and stood up.

"I'll tell you later, but first let's go" grandpa said. I held his hand and followed him.

We stopped at a room, he took out the keys and opened it.

It was very dark and quiet, i hid behind grandpa's legs.

"Dont be scared rain.. I'll turn on the lights" he said and turned the switch on.

We both went in a room and we sat on a couch.

"why did you take me here grandpa?" i asked

He wiped his glasses and placed it back on.

"Well you see honey.. I want to tell you a secret but you must swore to not tell anyone, and i mean anyone!" he said and took out his pinkie finger.

I smiled at him and crossed my pinkie finger with his,

"I promisee" i said

"You see.... Your dad And i..Are not.."
He hesitated for a moment

"Really fully humans" he said

I knew ittt

"Yeah, cause you are hybrids right?" i asked

He was caught off by the moment and looked at me,
