chapter 80 | Getting Ready

Soarin's POV *fast forward to few weeks later in his house*

The past few weeks has been the best day in my life! Dash was even planning to send rain in a proper school! It couldnt be much better than this❤️

I slowly opened my eyes and saw rainbow still asleep beside me. I smiled and pulled her close. I closed my eyes again and rested.

I was the luckiest guy ever! It was still a miracle for me that she suddenly came back. I vowed to forever protect her with all my heart.

Ever since i met this girl my life changed. Lots of crazy stuff happened but we still made it out together in the end.

I felt her body moved and i quickly opened my eyes to see she was facing me now.

"morning" she says

I chuckled and pulled her closer

I kissed her forehead then someone opened the door.

"mommy, daddy good morning" Rain greets

I sat up as she trotted her way towards us.

She climbed on the bed and laid Between me and rainbow.

"how was your sleep?" she asks

"it was good" rainbow replied

"daddy am i going to school soon?" she asks

"in a few days " i replied

"but isn't that a place of bad people? Like... Jail?" she suddenly said

I looked at her then at dash who was smirking while facing the other way.

I raised my eyebrow,

"lemme guess, your mom told you?"

"yep!" rain replied innocently

Rainbow dash looked at us then said,

"hehe, i was just kidding when i told you that place was jail even thought it practically is..."

"then what is it?" rain asked

"uhm, let's just say its a place where you learn and make friends" rainbow replied

"i see" rain says then sits up

She then goes down the bed then says, "come on, breakfast is in downstairs waiting"

"we'll be there" dash said

Rain nodds then leaves the room.

"she's growing up too fast" she chuckles

"that's life" i told her

She chuckles then rests her head on my chest.

"hey soar" she starts

"hmm?"

"you think she's up for it?" she asked

"of course, she's your kid after all" i told her

She giggles,

"you're right"

I sat up and took a bath. When i got out she took her turn. I went downstairs and i saw rain already eating breakfast.

"trust me rain, you are gonna love the school you are gonna study in. Your grandpa and grandma said it's an international school" i explained

"woah," she replied in amazement

"just promise me you'll study hard" i told her then she nodded

"International school? Really?" rainbow chuckles as she sits down with us

"yeah, really." i told rainbow.

"ok then" she replies.

The day went on like any other day, rain would play in the garden while me and dash watch a movie or something.

It was now 9:00 pm and it was time for her to go to bed.

I went inside rain's room and saw her reading a daring do book that rainbow probably gave.

I sat beside her then she closed the book,

"i like this book" she commented

"really? You must be a book worm then" i told her,

"what's a book worm?" she asked

"you know, a person who likes books?" i said unsurely

Im a terrible father...

I tucked her in bed and kissed her good night.

"sleep well"

She closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.

As i went out i closed the door behind me and went to my room.

Rainbow was there playing with her phone and i laid down beside her.

"so, did she say anything?" rainbow asked me

"uh, about what?" i asked

"about you know, going to school and stuff" she said

"well she didn't seemed worried or uncomfortable about it. Trust me this will help her get out more rather than just staying here all alone." i said

"it's not that im against it, I'm just being careful about her feelings too, considering that I haven't been paying all my attention to her ever since she was a baby" she explained

"hey, i understand that, and im sure rain does too." i assured her.

She smiles then faces me,

"wanna give it another shot?" she says unexpectedly. I almost choked,

I snickered then pulled her close,

"if you dont mind" i replied.
