Chapter 1
"He told me that he loved me and that he would never want to be with anyone else. It was all just lies." I said whilst wiping tears from my eyes. My brother Jerome tried to comfort me. that's why I loved him, he was always there when I needed him most. why couldn't I just find a guy like him. Some one I can trust. "How can he do this to me, today of all days. It's my 18th birthday, I'm suppose to be enjoying myself, having the time of my life.
"It's better that you caught him out now, its always better sooner than later..every things gonna be ok" he said reassuring me. "Are all you men like that; liars and cheaters. why do you treat girls this way. we don't desserve to be treated like this.woman are very fragile we are not to be tampered with but yet you men decide to take the risk, you don't care if you brake us." I took my anger out on my brother a bit, which really wasn't fair but I couldn't help it. He didn't seem to be affected or upset by it because he understood that I was hurt and upset. "You know what, you really shouldn't be spending your day like this, lets go out, have a laugh and forget all about that prick." ~I was so hurt and heart brocken, I wasn't really in the mood to go anywhere.I just wanted to stay there in my brother's arms.~ "nah..I don't really feel like it." "well your not gonna just sit her crying your eyes out. Get up and get downstairs, go pick a movie we can watch and not a romantic one either. pick a horror or a comedy." I wasn't at all in the mood for a movie. I just wanted to stay in my bed and drown in my misery. "no, I don't really feel like it" "GET UP!" he yelled. when he yelled It caused me to jump up. I can see that he wasn't messing around either. he was dead serious. sometimes he could be so strict. I just did exactly as I was told.
I really didn't know what to pick out of The final destination 2, Bruce almighty, Jeepers creepers and little man. My brother came in with the pop corn. "What did you pick?" "I don't know what to pick out of these" I said showing him the options. "Eerm lets watch Bruce almighty first to lighten the mood and then watch jeepers creapers." He always knew what do. especially when it came to movies, he was obsessed. He thinks putting a dvd in would solve any problem. "Well that's if you can stay awake" "Of course I can stay awake" He moved his eyes from left to right as if to say 'sure you can'. I put the movie in and turned off the lights and he rested the bowl of popcorn in between us. My brother was laughing throughout the movie and nudging me at the funny parts clarifying that I should be laughing too but I just didn't feel like it after a while I just Said what the heck I was just being stupid crying over a boy that really wasn't worth it when I had my brother here trying to make me happy. So I just laughed along with him, I actually enjoyed the movie. Funny enough I hadn't seen it before, I wasn't really a big fan of Jim Carrey but i heard it was suppose to be really funny. "Be right back" Jerome said "Where you going?" "Just going to do something in the kitchen quickly" "Oh, do you need any help" "eerm no I'm ok" I saw all over his face that he was up to something but I just ignored it and carried on watching the movie.
About 6mins later the lights turned on. I turned around and saw my brother standing with a cake in his hand. He rested it on the table. It said happy birthday to the best sister ever. with a candle on it that had the number 18. "Happy Birthday sis" then he took a small red jewellery box out of his pocket and gave it to me. "Aww thanks Jay" (I call him 'Jay' for short) I opened it up and there was the most beautiful diamond ring in there it must of cost him a fortune. I screamed with joy and Jumped up and gave him a big hug and a peck on the cheek. "Thank you so much, It's beautiful." I've never been so happy "Aren't you going to put it on" he insisted "Yeah of course" "actually let me." he took the ring out of the box and put it on my married finger. It was a bit funny because it was like he had just proposed. then he kissed me on my forehead. I just stood there staring at my beautiful diamond ring. "Well aren't you gonna blow out your candle" he said with a huge smile on his face. I could tell that he enjoyed making me happy. "yeah sure, why not" I walked over to the cake and I knew exactly what I was going to wish for. I blew out my candle. "What did you wish for?" I know you're not suppose to tell anybody what you wished for cos it wouldn't come true blah blah but in this case it was different cos I told my brother everything. We were bestfriends. "I just wished that I could find the perfect guy, a guy who is just like you". My brother blushed which I thought was weird but I just ignored it. I had the best brother in the world, what did I ever do to desserve him?. we both sat down and had a slice of cake. but being the pig that my brother was he had 3 slices. I just looked at him, shaked my head and laughed. "what?" he said as if he had no idea why I was shaking my head. The movie finished and I must of dozed off cos I woke up with my head rested on my brothers' shoulder and his rested on my head. I got up and said goodnight to him. "Goodnight sis..see you in the morning."
