A Beginning of an End

MELIODAS' POV

I woke up on my bed, batting my eyes slowly to adjust to the light from the sun.

The hammock that 'Elaine' slept in was still in the corner of my room, I never really took it down for some reason.

I sat up on my bed and rubbed my eyes, then gasped in shock to realize what day it was.

'It's today...' I thought. I was so worried about my crew, Hawk and Elizabeth. Especially Elizabeth, if anything happened to her; I don't know what I would do anymore.

'But what if something happens to me?'

I don't know. I just care about the people I love, to protect them so they don't get harmed.

I got up from my bed, getting changed into my usual clothing. After getting changed, I walk to the door and squeeze the handle; I was nervous but brought myself to open the door and go downstairs. The crew were waiting for me outside.

"Hey Meliodas!" Ban shouted as I stepped outside "Are you sure you don't need help with that demon thing?"

"I'm fine, Ban." I replied.

Elizabeth ran up to me and wrapped her arms around my shoulders, hugging me tightly. "Please be careful" she muttered, tears streaming down her face.

I held the back of her head with one hand and her back with the other, hugging her aswell.

"I will, don't worry"

Atleast that's what I hoped, well, I'm immortal for gods sake.

A loud crashing was heard behind everyone, as a dark aura crept it's way to me.

Everyone moved out of the way, and Merlin did 'Perfect cube' on me and the purple aura.

"It won't break through that." She said, pretty confidently.

Ban looked at her "Are you sure? Demons can be hella powerful and can break nearly everything." She looked at him as he looked at the perfect cube "Who knows how powerful this one is." He continued.

The purple aura formed into the shape of a massive demon.

It was him.

It was the demon king.
