Classroom

I always sat in the back corner, so the teacher wouldn't see that I was on my phone.

Huey was in the front, being a nerd.

Dewey was next to him, being the class clown.

Webby was in front of my, claiming it was because we were by the window, but I knew she wanted to keep me company.

Kat was next to her, doodling in the margins of her notes.

Jamie (Dewey's best friend) sat right behind him, and I could hear them talking to each other from my corner.

The teacher droned on and on the entire hour, somehow expecting our brains to keep up with him.

The football players who thought the rules the place sat in the back row too.

The football players who weren't assholes sat throughout the room.

There were 30 10th graders in that old room, all with varying apathy levels. The Huey's and Webby's with none, the Louie's about the opposite.

I never looked like I was paying attention, so the teacher usually called on me to answer questions. Unfortunately for him;

"Louie, what year was the battle of Yorktown?"

"1781."

"Louie, who was the 5th president of the United States?"

"James Monroe."

"Louie, what's 64x23?"

"1,472, and that has nothing to do with history."

"I know, just testing you."

This was a daily routine. Honestly though, in any other subject, this guy would've been great. He just always seemed as bored as the rest of us.

I got paper balls thrown onto my desk all the time;

Some from Webby, just saying hi.

Some from Kat, showing me drawings she'd just made.

Some from Dewey, telling me he forgot his lunch money and needed to share with me (happened more often than you'd think).

Some told me to kill myself.

Joke's on them, I already tried 2 years ago.

Whoever threw those ended up with an eraser in the head from Webster.

I guess it was a good thing she wanted to sit by me.

The fluorescent lights made this weird high pitched noise that nobody else ever seemed to notice.

The projector buzzed as the fan inside spun around.

The heater was on, even though it was June. They were never going to fix it, were they?

The bell rang and we'd grab our bags to go to our next class.

I always sat in the back corner.

Hey guys!

Been a little while, huh?

Well, it's about to be longer, 'cause I'm leaving on a band trip Wednesday after school. We're going to Chicago! That'll be fun.

So anyways, this is in a bit of a different format than the other chapters, and I wanna know what you guys think!

I also wanted to know if any of you would be interested in a story based in the MCU, with 4 original characters. I've already created the characters, started the first part of the story, AND given it a title, but I wanna know what you guys think before I publish anything.

Ok? Ok.

Love you all!
