i remember walking the beaches when the sun was richer
the smell of petrichor, as we watched the river
those were the days of sunsets and cigarettes
travelling and chasing the sun
knowing we were the only one
living life like tonight our last
smoking, watching the time pass
riding the waves of life
and drinking all nighti said i was the boy who would push you
i promised to save you
but all i gave you
was the memory of me
smiling by the sea
making you deny that you could ever
fall out of love with mebut the clock began to tick
the memory burned in your dreams
though now, it seems
i have found those beaches again
yet i find it funny how
the sun burns colder now
and all it does is rain
