~Mark~

I checked Jessica's Instagram and it looks like she's doing really well. She still hangs out with my friends and my family. I even saw a picture of her eating with Joey.

I miss those days that we're together. Young love as they say but we're both mature back then. We love each other too much that we don't to get in each other's way. She wants to finish her studies and I want that, too. As what most people know, if I'm not an artist then I'm still in school. Jessica doesn't want me to waste the chance to be a JYP trainee.

<<ring>>

"Hey, Jessica. Are you free right now?

"I'm just watching TV, why Mark?"

"We need to talk."

"Oh, don't scare me." She sounded anxious.

"No, I'm not trying to scare you. I just need your opinion about something."

She sighed in relief and asked me to come over.

I passed by a flower shop and bought her a red rose.

-Jessica's crib-

"I don't like the way you sounded. It doesn't make me feel good." She said.

I handed her a rose without saying anything yet. She let me in and we went to the porch. We approached the swing and I tried to read her expression since we're seated facing each other.

Uhmm." That's the first thing I said.

"Just tell me, okay?" It's like she's trying to convince herself that she'll be ready with whatever I'm gonna tell her.

"Yeah... I... I just got scouted by JYPE, the Korean entertainment agency that I mentioned to you before.

And... I have to go to Korea so that I can be a trainee." I dropped the words.

"So what are your plans?" She said while looking away.

"Mom and Dad told me that I should go. I was also happy that I got in but I'm just not really sure if I can leave my life here and if I can leave you. So...w-what do you think?

"Are you telling me that your decision depends on me now? What if I want you to stay?" She sounded a bit angry this time.

"I-I don't know. I honestly don't know. I'm not good at making decisions and you know that, right?" I said in a sad tone.

We stayed on the swing looking at each other without saying a word and it felt like forever. We kept on looking at each other's faces as if we're memorizing each trace, curve and line.

"Mark." She called my name to break the silence and I looked at her lovingly. She looked up the ceiling so as not to meet my eyes and to stop her tears from falling. Oh, God! I can't do this!

I held her face and asked her again if I should go or not.

"Of course, I don't want you to go but... before we even became a couple we promised each other that we won't get in each other's success. I think this is the time that you're finally able to find something that will interest you and will give your life a different meaning."

She held my hand and continued "Honestly, I know that I don't have a say on this matter... though it breaks my heart I really want you to succeed. Remember, we promised to support each other no matter what. Right?"

I nodded then hugged her tightly. She hugged back and whispered "take care."

"I love you," I said and before she could even respond I pressed my lips against hers.
