Layla
I sat on the throne next to Zelda, we listened to the villagers as they asked for our help, only small favors that could easily be taken care of. Mostly thieves and neighbor drama, not much. We did this occasionally to make a better environment around here, than when the king ruled.
A knight ran into the room. He bowed at us. "My Queens, a group of people has come to our lands, we do not know who they are or where they are from. They do not seem friendly and they have weapons and tools that we have never seen before."
"Where?" Zelda asked. Her face was filled with curiosity, but it also held a frown.
"Northern part of the woods" the knight replied.
"Send a group of knights, I will come with you," Zelda said. She stood up from her throne. I wanted to see it for myself and I felt bad since Zelda was always the one who did the work so I decided that I wanted to go instead of her.
"No need Zelda, I will go and check it out,". She looked at me and shook her head.
"I must go, I do not want anything happening to you," she replied as she looked at me with worry in her eyes.
"Please let me go, I want to do something too."
"I don't know Layla, I really do not want you to get hurt"
"Please trust me and let me check it out for once, it will make me very happy if you let me go"
After about 5 minutes of argument back and forth until I was finally allowed to leave.
I put on a white and gold dress and a cape that matched. I took a white horse and joined the knights to ride to the unknown group of people. I have full control of my powers now and I can easily defend myself from enemies, not only that, but I have also learned how to ride a horse and I'm still training for fights, but not as often as before.
We had finally arrived in the northern part of the forest. I could clearly see them now. They were people from my world... They looked like military and they had boxes full of unknown stash and what I believed was a portal to this land. How did they know about this world and what did they want?
We approached them. They drew their assault rifles at us. Hostile I see. I am glad I was the one who went to look because if I hadn't then Zelda might have attacked them and she'd get hurt or even worse and more accurate, die. She won't know how those weapons work, so it would have been dangerous for her to approach them.
I jumped down from my white horse. They all looked at me, I did not dare walk any closer. I was still not sure who those people were or if they were willing to kill me if I came closer.
"I am queen Layla of Alethia, who are you and what do you want?" I asked, trying to sound as confident as possible.
A tall woman stepped in front of me, she had dark brown shoulder-length hair. She wore black high waisted jeans and a white blouse tucked into it, she looked like a very independent and sophisticated woman. She must be in her early to mid-30s. She was very close to me and my knights were ready to attack her if she came any closer. She stopped and looked at the knights and smiled.
"Do you really think you have any chance against me? I have weapons that can kill you in a second and what do you have? some pathetic swords?" She laughed and looked at the men behind her who also laughed.
"I don't know who you think you are, but I'm the queen of this realm and you have trespassed. I know what a gun is by the way and I have a much stronger weapon than that."
