4. Wolves

Zelda's hand was quickly healed as we hired a healer for her, but she has gotten a very high fever which was very worrying. We don't know why she would have gotten a fever from the bite; it was not an infection or anything. Her hand was fixed.

Marceline came the day after her familiar had bitten Zelda, she apologized a thousand times and Zelda said that it wasn't her fault. It was her wolf's fault. Marceline told me she had locked up her wolf until she figures out why her wolf was acting so aggressively towards Zelda.

We had hired a doctor as well to see if he knows what the fever might be.

I put my hand on Zelda's forehead. She was sleeping and sweating. She must feel awful and the words have spread around town that she is sick. They think she will die, but I do not think it's that serious. I told them that she was not going to die, and I hope I am correct. We just need to find out why she has a fever and then we can cure her sickness.

I walked outside of the castle to greet the doctor. He seemed like a nice man; I hope he knows what's wrong with Zelda. we walked up to the room. Zelda was still asleep.

He did some tests and checked her hand and such. "You said she was bitten by a wolf right?" he asked me.

I nodded.

"Is there a possibility it was a werewolf that bit her?" What? a werewolf, no way Marceline would have told me. Lily could not possibly be a werewolf, or could she?

"It was a normal wolf for all I know, why?"

"She has the symptoms of a werewolf bit. If this really is the case, she must become one herself and the fever will go away or kill the werewolf that bit her"

I have to see I Lily is a werewolf. What if she is one, does that mean Zelda will become one? she'd probably be a cute one. "I am sorry can you please wait here? I have to talk to someone," I said as I ran outside.

I made a portal to Marceline's house and ran as fast as I could around her house trying to find her. I opened her bedroom door and she was naked with two other girls in bed. Normally I'd be super embarrassed to walk in on someone, but I did not have time to care at that moment since I was too worried for Zelda.

She quickly took her fingers out of the brunette girl and put the sheets over herself and the two other girls. "Layla, wha- what are you doing here?" she stuttered.

"Come we need to talk right now!" she looked at the girls and back at me. she dismissed herself from them and put on the red silk robe I had given her.

"What is it, is something wrong?" She asked worried. I was walking around the house looking for Lily and then I asked.

"Is Lily a werewolf?" 

She stopped walking and gave me a confused look. "No, of course not. she has been a wolf from the first day I met her ."

"The doctor told me that Zelda's fever was caused by a werewolf bite and all the symptoms were there."

"But she cannot be a werewolf, she has always been a wolf." She walked at a fast pace around her house and then down some stairs and then walked into a room. It was a dim light there and I could see positions around there. Then her wolf caught my eye. Had she been here for a whole month?

Marceline sat in front of her, looking into her eyes. "Lily...are you a werewolf?" She asked hesitantly.

The wolf didn't respond, not that it could, but I could see in her eyes that something was up. I don't think Marceline had any doubt that she was a werewolf at that moment. The question is why had she never changed into her human form?
