The dog slunk into the alley. After glancing around, he knocked over the trashcan. He sifted through the mess with his nose.
A Daily Prophet appeared from underneath a ratty sweater. The dog pulled it out and stared at it.
Two men walked past the alley, stopping when they saw the dog.
"Is 'e readin'?" asked one.
"Hah!" said the second. "Yer an idiot. Dog's can' read."
"Yer right," said the first. They laughed and continued on.
The dog let out a huff of laughter. He could read. He wasn't really a dog.
He glared down at the newspaper, where there was a picture of Hogwarts.
He was there. He was going to kill him.
