Chapter 4: Unhappy Reunion
Hiccup sipped the last of his tea before slamming the cup down with more force than necessary. The agents' gaze flicked to the cup for a split second. When their gazes swept up from the momentary distraction, Hiccup was gone.
Spitelout was about to shout orders for his men to sweep the area until a knee impacted with his face. The two agents by his side barely had time to turn around before they were knocked out by a karate chop to the pressure point behind the neck.
The three bodies slumped down to the floor, unconscious.
The remaining agents aim their guns at Hiccup, but before they could fire, he threw three needles at the nearest men.
The needles were plain, about 6 inches long, silver coloured, made from normal metal. At least that was what they look like.
As they hit their target with pinpoint accuracy, they glowed a soft cerulean blue. The agent's bodies suddenly shook and tremored as electricity spread from the needles to their bodies. Not enough to kill, but certainly enough to knock them out.
Hiccup smirked. "Six down, three to go," he announced.
The last three agents aimed their guns at Hiccup, and this time, they did fire. Unfortunately for them, it didn't end so well either.
Hiccup threw his needles the same time they fired their projectile. As soon as the bullet left the muzzle, they were punctured straight through the middle, back to the gun, through it, and hit the agents in the chest.
Hiccup chuckled in what seem to be amusement. With a flick of his wrist, the needles he threw glowed purple and floated back to it's owner.
Hiccup faced the dozens of students staring at him in awe and fear. "Well, fun time's over. Time to get back," he said nonchalantly.
He turned to the cafeteria door and made his way towards it, until a loud booming voice made him freeze in his tracks.
"HICCUP HORRENDOUS HADDOCK III!"
The voice echoed through the room, making some students yelp or cover their ears.
Hiccup turned around slowly and was met with the sight of his father. Their gaze locked together in an nonexistent battle. The room was filled with a tense atmosphere. Father and son reunited after five long years, yet neither of them was happy.
"Why, hello there, dad." Hiccup finally said, his eyes narrowed in a glare, spatting out the word as if it was poison.
"We have some serious matter to talk about, son." He glared back with the same intensity. "Like you being a Syndric and the classified object you stole."
"Actually, I think I prefer to be on my way than staying in a crampy room surrounded by guards staring at me like a hawk." He shot back sarcastically.
"Ah, ah, ah." Stoick wagged his fingers as if saying 'no' to a child. "You're not getting away this easily. And this time, we brought a Sharp Class." Hiccup glanced around to find both he and Stoick surrounded by men three times the squad Spitelout led. Meanwhile, the students were evacuated outside the school.
One particular agent stood out however. He was wearing shining silver armor. Two swords rested at his hips. His eyes were filled with greed, eyeing Hiccup like how a dog would eye a tasty bone. 'He's probably just after the bounty,' Hiccup thought to himself with a mental sigh of disappointment.
Hiccup smirked, "So, you brought a Syndric, huh? At least someone's smart." He cracked his knuckles, successfully making him more intimidating. "Well, I suppose a little excesice is fine. Those guards at Sunstone Island didn't even take me half a minute."
A Syndric is what you become whenever you graduated from the academy. Whether you're a hero or a villian, good or bad, as long as you're graduated and fightable, you're considered one.
A Syndric is split into seven classes, depending on their weapon or fighting style.
Stoker Class, Syndrics who utilizes fire or heat as their weapon. They are sometimes armed with firearms and were considered hot-headed.
Boulder Class, Syndrics who use their strength or heavy weapons. They usually have a caring or timid personality, but will turn aggressive if their friends or loved ones are threatened.
Tracker Class, Syndrics who have sences sharper than most people, like their eyesight, sense of smell, or hearing. They are often found to use medicine or poison as weapons.
Sharp Class, Syndrics that often attacks at close to mid range, usually with a melee weapon strong enough to slice through high-strength concrete.
Tidal Class, these Syndrics have some creative ways to turn water into their weapons. For example, blasting their enemies with scalding hot water, or somehow turning them into large spikes to impale their enemies.
Mystery Class, like it's name suggest, these Syndrics are extremely mysterious. Suitable for being spies. You were sitting alone in a bar, you turn your head around and suddenly you see a bald man named Morpheus telling you you're in a program world called the Matrix.
Strike Class, these Syndrics, though never proved, were considered the strongest among the seven classes. They were elusive, highly intelligent, and has extreme accuracy over their weapons. Really, if they fire something at you the only way you can not get hit is by blocking them.
Hiccup chuckled sadistically as the agents paled. "Oh this is going to be fun," he smirked to himself with Hookfang adding a "Hell yeah!"
All at once, the FBI agents charges at Hiccup with a war cry. Hiccup stood there calmly, waiting for them approach. The first one that arrived swung a blow at Hiccup. He ducked down, missing the punch by an inch, and stabbed his needle at the exposed belly. This went on for a few minutes, all with the same result. They attacked, Hiccup dodging said attack, then knocking them out.
The smarter agents, seeing that hand-to-hand combat wasn't an option, started pulling out swords. Hiccup chuckled, "Getting violent now, are we?" He spread his arms wide open, as if welcoming some guest into his house. "Well, come on then!"
