Only one thin plagued my mind, turtles.

As I rushed home to my roommate and best friend, I was being followed. as usual I don't think he would approve but they were adorable I couldn't leave them alone.

"RUSH! GUESS WHAT FOLLOWED ME HOME!" I yell slamming the door open.

"Ash, please tell me it's not another family of bunnies." he replies from where I believe the kitchen is at. As I walk towards the direction of the voice, I find Rush sitting around eating his usual salad. He doesn't even look my way continuing to type on his android, most likely his story 'Riders from another dimension'. He's so obsessed with Hiccup, it's normal now.

"No, bunnies are out of the question. they are even more adorable than said bunnies." I begin to jump slightly, excitement uncontrollable. "I have TURTLES!!"

He only glanced at me to see if I was serious but quickly turned back finding the turtles coming in from behind me. "How are those turtles useful in any way at all?" He says doubting the use of these slow creatures.

"They will fight off robbers. LIKE BATMAN!" I yell, energy coursing through my usually lazy body.

"And then be crushed by feet" he replies, continuing with his story. His monotone expression horrifying.

"Oh my gog why rush?!?! Believe in everything!" I anxiously tell him tears shining at the end of my eyes. Rush only stares at the small green creatures.

"Hmm...But theq turtles...They're just so tiny and disposable" he continues to stare, for quite a while until they begin to mysteriously float and fly out the window. It was the oddest thing I'd ever seen but science isn't always right I suppose.

"Nooooooo turtles I thought you loved me!" I yell longingly as the turtles fly was at ever so slowly through our window. "Now they're freeee!" Rush whispers believing I can't hear him. "I will miss you my dears. Dont look while I murder him."

"I didn't do anything! Maybe they just genuinely hated you...Or the ugly rug, you put down in here...I think that thing would make anyone want to jump out of a window..." He argued, bringing my attention toward the rug on the floor. as we continue our conversation, I throw out the rug ridding us from the burden of the gift.

-later-

I was sitting enjoying the reruns of the Christmas specials. it's a few days after

Thanksgiving and everyone is chipper. The snow had begun to fall delicately a little after our talk this afternoon. The cold air had trapped us inside to confide in out blankets and hot chocolate. it is however nice to sit by the fire every so often.

Bringing my attention back to the TV, I noticed the movie I had been watching ended, starting with another I did not recognized. it was an odd occurrence for me not to recognize one of these movies, seeing as I watch them each year. As I took the remote the title showed evident of someone I'd never heard of.

I quickly bring out my laptop out from under the pillow, typing in the name of the mysterious figure. Not many results as usual but Wikipedia provided the answers I needed.

He was a Winter spirit. usually depicted as a young adult, carefree and playful in many matters. The falling of snow warns of his arrival. his a mischievous child who also plays tricks on many of the towns he visits, especially the children. These are only tales passed down by generations of children who believed but are slowly fading away.

"Jack Frost." I mutter under my breath.

"Hi."
