Just a bit

The kitchen was cold and silent. The snow began to melt surprisingly slowly as Jake stared at Rush, smirk growing.

Rush suddenly had an idea as he devilishly looked back at me.

'Sorry Jack but this happy moment is short lived.' I silently begin to pray for Jack Frost and his survival. As I look back up because I don't pray, I see Jack get hit by the snowball in his hand. Rush looked back but I quickly grabbed his arm knowing his aim for the knife that would have been lodged into Jack's knee.

Rush turns to me and says rather annoyed, "Ash! Explain this bullshit!"

Well he's in a bad mood. "Rush meet Jack. Jack Frost meet my physco roommate Rush Ryoshi." I say motioning to each other respectively.

Rush turns between the both of us "How the fuck......." he begins, "Wait, wait...Jack Frost, like the fairy tale?" He was having a hard time understanding the logic of it all when there is none.

"Oh your familiar with him. Yes that Jack Frost."

"B-but...but that's not science! That's not science at all! How.....?"

"Fuck science! We got snow!"

"Fuck snow! Show me the science! There has to be some explaination... Fairy tales are called fairy tales for a reason. TALES. That's all they are! Speaking of this tale, I don't believe in this crap. How, and why is he visible to me if this is actually even happening?"

"FUCK LOGIC."

"But s-science."

"Just believe, please?" I very rarely say please and this was an odd moment. It might have helped persuade him. His head pops out of the corner of the hall. silence overtook us and he look toward us, the rooms temperature lowering.

"Fine."

Jack, reassuringly tells Rush "Well, science is just an excuse to cover magic." Rush only begins to pout and drink my cup if coffee he stole.

"What?" Jack and I ask expectantly, trying to break the questioning silence.

"No.Just no. Science will always be! But I guess I'll believe, for now...Just a little bit..." I replies, voice lowering with each word as if he was embarrassed.

I beamed as Rush fell for it all. "Great just a little is enough, right Jack?" I say jumping up and down slightly, trying to contains excitement. Rush is hard to persuade and we were successful!

"Yeah if he can see me I guess." Jack mutters back as Rush goes in for a handshake. It was a good moment. a beautiful friendship with the winter spirit is sure to blossom.
