Izuku's POV

We stepped through the large oak doors of the courthouse and were met with a security check. We all made our way through and of course I was stopped again because of the pin in my arm, however they finally let me go. I caught up with the rest of the group and took my place next to Ochako.

After a moment of walking we stopped in front of a large set of doors that seemed to loom over us.

"Shouto Aizawa, here for the hearing of case number 2247." Mr. Aizawa said as he walked up to the officer.

"One moment sir. Case number 2247, Shouto Aizawa." The officer waited for a minute as he listened to his radio. "Go ahead."

The door opened and Aizawa turned to us. "Midorya and Midorya will come with me, the rest of you will wait out here until you are called to testify. Keep an eye on Eri while we are in here."

Once he was done, I turned to Eri, "Be good for them ok, we'll come and get you in a little while. I love you." I said as I hugged her. Ochako did the same and then we turned to follow Aizawa and Mrs. Nanoko into the courtroom.

We walked forward and through the gate at the front, we each took a seat behind a table that was set in front. Mrs. Nanoko laid out some of her papers and a few minutes later a door opened at the side of the room and a woman in a black cloak walked in. We all stood and waited for her to sit, once she sat so did we.

"Alright, lets get started. Docket number 2247, Special case adoption of one Eri by Izuku and Ochako Midorya. As I understand you are both sixteen correct?" She asked as she gave us an annoyed look.

"Yes, your honor." I said.

"Ok, I want to make one thing clear, I don't like the idea of two sixteen-year old's adopting a child. However, as a judge I am willing to hear this case. If you can convince me that it would not be a mistake then I will allow it, but I must say, I won't let it be a walk in the park." She said and we nodded to her. "Alright, we'll start with presentation of evidence by your attorney."

Mrs. Manoko stood and walked to the front of the table. "First I would like to make a point of how all of this started, this is footage from the yakuza raid in which these two took part in that saved young Eri from the torture she was experiencing."

She pressed a button on the remote and video footage played of Eri loosing control on me as I fought against overhaul. The footage ended when I passed out. "As you can see here, this young man is determined to protect her even when he didn't know her."

She again pressed a button on the remote, "We also have another example of his willingness to sacrifice in order to keep her safe." The monitor began to show the video footage from a security camera when we were attacked by Poison Tip. The judge watched the footage with the same expression she has had.

"I will admit that he is a hero, but this doesn't prove that having her as their legal child won't hinder their progress and advancements toward a successful future." She said and there was a stifled sigh from Mrs. Nanoko.

"That is a fair point, lets take a look at there course work at U.A. before they got Eri." She pulled up a few digital documents on the screen that showed our academic performance, "As you can see, they both had high marks before, not top marks but high ones." She clicked a button and showed a new document. "This is their performance after having had Eri put in their care. As you can see there is actually a 13.46% increase in their performance."

The judge looked at the monitor and I saw her face soften a bit. "Alright, I can see that she may have caused some motivation, but what if that's just a temporary thing?"
