(I wrote this story originally for class... If you're confused by the context of this note, that's probably why)
I'm not sure if one of these are allowed, but I'm going to write one anyways, because I feel like that's right for this kind of story. The children of this sub-division in Ohio were facing a problem just like we are today... The warming of the Earth. While everyone else were doing literally nothing about this terrible problem, Provence took action, her other friends going along with her. This story served multiple purposes. One was to show that Climate Change is not something the world should be ignoring, and it is crucial that we do something reasonable about it. Yes, Provence did come up with some stupid plans, but that was just to show that the older generations put so much pressure on the younger ones to change the Earth that they have damaged themselves (not saying we haven't contributed to the problem as well). Also, this story showed, in a slightly symbolic way, that Global Warming will kill (yes, I know killing four characters was a little intense, but TRUST ME... It needed to happen) us if we don't do something about it. We created the problem, and it is our job to fix it. Lee shows this, as explained later in the story, and is a prime example of a child being cracked underneath all this pressure. Honestly, there is a lot of other symbolism I put subtly into this story, and explaining it all in one Author's Note would kinda ruin it. In the end, I wrote this for my Writing Time to send a message that Global Warming is an issue, and maybe to help convince people to start working to save our Earth. While there was no fixing Lee's situation, it was mostly because it was too late to do anything. It's not too late for us, we can do something... We all must work together to put in that extra effort to save ourselves. All in all, I hope whoever ends up reading this enjoyed my story, and they will hopefully take whatever needed to hear from it.

General FictionGlobal warming is a huge problem for the world, and it's increasing by the day.... Even in Ohio. The winters, which are supposed to be freezing, are as hot as it would be down south. Buildings catch on fire multiple times a week, and still there are...
