A loud blaring noise blared through my house, waking me up. At first, I thought it was just another fire alarm, but it was different. It was more of a fast paced alarm... It meant there was a tornado in the area.

I glanced over at my clock. My mother had left for work two hours ago, so I wasn't too concerned about getting out of bed to head for shelter.

My whole body felt numb. I wasn't sore.... Just numb. It took most of my energy just to throw my hand to the edge of my bed to grab my phone. I had a text from Provence. Although I was slightly startled that she didn't call me like she usually did.

Provence: When you get this, come to the park. A tornado is going to pass through this town, and we shouldn't miss this opportunity for a new experiment.

Terry: Do you know how dangerous that is? How could we experiment with a tornado?

Provence: We are just going to investigate. This is happening in account of the drastic change in the climate. We have to take this chance.

Terry: I'll be there.

I still had the clothes I wore on from yesterday, and my hair was still unbrushed. So I just thought I might as well head out just like that.

When I left the house, it was warmer than the previous day, and the wind had picked up significantly. It was blowing so hard, it could blow down a building. Dust was also picking up off the ground. I could barely see what was in front of me.

Eventually, when I could barely move back and forth, I just kneeled down on the ground and covered my head.
