Sharptalon crashed into a large black tom. He struck the rogue's ear. The tom turned on him, and Sharptalon saw that one patch of ginger tabby fur was on his muzzle and chin.

Suddenly Darktail rushed forward, his claws striking Sharptalon's jaw. "I see you've met Moldclaw," the white leader sneered.

Moldclaw, the large black tom with a ginger patch on his muzzle and chin, flattened his ears. "I'm Darktail's brother," he hissed.

Confusion hit Sharptalon like a pair of claws. "Wait, what? I thought you said you were the only kitten in your litter to survive!" Sharptalon hissed to Darktail.

"I thought I was too. Me and Smoke thought they were dead, but turns out they weren't," Darktail explained.

"So Moldclaw isn't your only sibling?" Sharptalon growled.

"No. I have a sister and two other brothers. Remember Thorn? He's my brother," Darktail mewed.

"He's your brother? Then why did you let that happen to his eyes?" Sharptalon growled.

"Because I don't allow weaknessess like that in my Clan," Darktail growled. He then lifted his tail.

"And I don't allow threats like you in my Clan!" Sharptalon hissed, ready to lunge.

A pale golden-brown she-cat with blue eyes raced forward. A mottled gray tabby tom with amber eyes followed her.

Sharptalon backed up, lashing his tail. He was ready to fight all four if he had to.

"Lightningstrike, would you like to get him first?" Darktail asked the mottled gray tabby tom.

Lightningstrike raced forward, striking out with a paw.

Sharptalon wasn't fast enough to flinch back. The tips of the rogue's claws hit his nose. Blood swelled on the wound.

Darktail nodded to the pale golden-brown she-cat. "I'm sure you want to join in, Goldensmoke."

Goldensmoke leaped forward, unsheathing her claws. "You'll pay for betraying my brother!" She hissed. She bunched her muscles and leaped high, her claws striking Sharptalon's head. She pushed down and slammed his chin on the rough ground.

Sharptalon felt pain shoot through his head like lightning. White light flared across his vision for a second.

Darktail turned to Moldclaw. "Now. Finish that fight with Squirrelstar, brother."

Sharptalon bared his fangs. "You won't win this. Even if you've killed one of my Clanmates.... my mentor," Sharptalon growled, his voice cracking with grief.

"Get off him, filthy rogues!"

Sharptalon blinked, seeing Lighttail race towards him. Lighttail leaped on Goldensmoke, knocking her off Sharptalon.

Sharptalon got to his paws. Darktail leaped on Lighttail, digging his claws in his flanks. He scored them down the tom's flanks suddenly, leaving scratches.

Sharptalon lashed out and hit Lightningstrike's muzzle. He reared back as the tom swung a paw towards him. Sharptalon then raced forward, ducking underneath the rogue's belly. He slashed his claws across the tom's stomach and began pummeling with his forepaws as hard as he could. Fur spattered his face and soon drops of blood dribbled onto his pelt.

Lightningstrike dropped onto Sharptalon, blocking his churning paws. He sprang upward and landed on all fours. He was panting now, a look of exhaustion in his eyes.

Sharptalon got to his paws, shaking gray fur and blood from his pelt. "Tired, eh?" He hissed.

Lightningstrike glanced at him, his flanks heaving. Blood dripped onto the ground under his belly. His tail lashed with anger.
