Sharppaw pushed himself to his paws, anger flaring through him. I promise I'll get revenge for you, Fluffypelt! He looked up at the sky miserably. The stars weren't out yet, obviously, but he felt as though his mother was watching him. Energy surged through him. "I swear I'm going to kill Rain!" He growled.
Stormpaw glanced at him, grief flashing in her eyes. "No, Sharppaw, for now we must fight for our Clan, not just for ourselves. Killing Rain won't bring Fluffypelt back," Stormpaw whispered.
"I know it won't. But I'm taking revenge! I'll make sure that excuse of a cat learns his lesson!" Sharppaw growled, bristling.
"No, put your Clan first, please. We are badly outnumbered now. We should go back to ThunderClan and get help," Stormpaw pleaded.
Sharppaw blinked at her. She was right. "No, you go. I'm staying to help my Clan. Good luck, Stormpaw," Sharppaw meowed, lifting his tail.
Stormpaw blinked warmly at him. "Stay strong, Sharppaw," she whispered before turning away and darting towards the entrance.
Sharpppaw lowered his head to Fluffypelt's muzzle, sniffing. She was stiff already. "Next time," he murmured.
Suddenly, a hard weight slammed into Sharppaw. He twisted around to see Falconflight. The dark brown tom had pinned him down, his green eyes burning with rage.
Blood pounding in Sharppaw's ears, he stared at Falconflight. "Hey, I'm on your side!" He reminded.
"I'm with the rogues now," Falconflight hissed. "It's not fair to these rogues for the Clan cats to just randomly attack," He growled.
Sharppaw flattened his ears. "Traitor! I never knew you'd be the one turning on your Clan to be with the rogues! You always hated them and hated me for thinking I was one of them!" Sharppaw growled.
"I've changed. Frostpaw has too," Falconflight growled. "Joining the rogues is the only way to make sure you die along with any kin your cursed paws decide to touch!" He growled.
Outraged, Sharppaw remembered one of Darktail's moves, and began to pummel Falconflight's belly with his hind paws, hissing. He tore out clumps of fur and drew gashes in the warrior's belly. He was finally able to shove him off of him. Blood spattered the ground, dripping from Falconflight's belly.
Sharppaw leaped on him, but then felt something shove him off the brown warrior. Snowbreeze was looming over him, his blue eyes shimmering. He had a scratch on his shoulder and half of one of his ears was missing, tickling blood. He glared down at his son, teeth bared. "It's your time to die, Sharppaw!" He yowled.
Suddenly, dark ginger fur flashed towards them, grabbing Snowbreeze by his scruff and hauling him off of Sharppaw. Squirrelstar!
"Get off him, traitor!" Squirrelstar hissed, lashing her tail. She helped Sharppaw get to his paws. "Are you ok?" She asked.
"I think so," Sharppaw swallowed hard. He probably would've died if Squirrelstar hadn't of raced toward him.
Falconflight and Snowbreeze huddled together, panting. "Why did you stop me?" Snowbreeze asked, his tail lashing.
"Because this is your Clanmate," Squirrelstar hissed. "We came here to rescue him, not kill him, mouse-brain!" She snarled, whiskers twitching.
Falconflight bristled. "You're a weak leader if you can't see that Sharppaw is clearly the traitor. We're doing you a favor by killing him," he growled.
"Me, a traitor? Funny how I hear that coming from a cat whose father was Rowandust!" Squrrielstar hissed, lashing her tail.
Falconflight lashed his tail, but said nothing.
