When I got to the house, I see Billy limp his way up the driveway

When I got to the house, I see Billy limp his way up the driveway.

"Billy!" I exclaim, running up to him.

He gave me a look of disgust, like he didn't want to see me. Suddenly the front door was thrown open and out came Rosa and Victor.

"Oh my god! Are you okay?" She asks, as she rushes over to us.

"Yeah." Billy mutters.

"What happened? Are you hurt? Come inside."

"We need to have a talk." Victor announces, sternly.

~~~
"Running our on us? Lying? Then we get a call from the school telling you're cutting class? And then you bring Freddy and Y/n into this?" Rosa asks, as Billy looks down in defeat.
Then Rosa and Victor get up and leave closing the door, leaving Billy and I in the room. A small knock on the door causes Billy to lift his head up.
"Billy? Y/n?" A voice asks.
We look at the door and see Mary, Eugene, Darla, and Pedro standing there.
"You're him. You're the hero." Mary says in shock.
As if Billy wasn't in such a big mood, he would've been in shock that they knew. But he seemed like he didn't care at the moment.
"Yeah, well, not anymore, so..." Billy mutters.
"Why do you have our notebook?" I ask.
"Eugene finished Billy's search." Mary explains.
"Look, I'm not a hacker, okay? But I have played Dogs and Uplink and maybe I had to pick up a few skills which maybe did me into the Federal databases that no one can get into, but..." Eugene rambles.
"Did you find my mother?" I ask, hopefully, standing up.
"No. I searched the entire database. No signs of any L/ns anywhere. I'm sorry Y/n." Eugene apologizes.
"Look I've got to go." Billy says, walking past me and out the door.
"You're parents name are Marilyn and C.C Batson." Eugene says, making Billy stop in his tracks.
"You're born in Zumbrota, Minnesota." Eugene continues. "They divorced when you were 3. Your mom moved you that year. You never found then because your dad's been in prison in Florida for 10 years. And your mom's...."
"What? Is she dead?" Billy asks, worriedly.
"She's two bus stops away." I say, looking at the paper.
"What?"
"You didn't find her because she referred to her maiden name." Mary says.
Before anyone could say anything else, Billy grabbed his jacket and beanie and ran out the room.
"Billy!" Darla called.
"Victor, get the keys!" We hear Rosa say. "Kids, stay here in case Billy comes back!"
"Billy!" I call as I run out the door chasing him. I manage to run up to him and pull his arm, turning him around.
"Y/n, I have to find my mom! Stay here." He says before kissing my head and turning around and running off.
~~~

As we walk down the stair we see Darla finish tying her shoes and grab her jacket and putting it on.

"Wait, I thought we were running after Billy." Darla says.

"No, we're going to wait here for now." Mary explains to her.

Mary walks off with Pedro, Eugene and I right behind. Suddenly, the door bell rings, which was odd.

"Billy?" Darla asks, in excitement, running over to the door and opening it. "Freddy?"

"Wait, what?" I ask in confusion.

I turn around to see a man with sunglasses walk in holding onto Freddy.

"Oh, how quaint! Actually, I take that back." The man says.

He took off his sunglasses and reveals a blue orb in one of his eyes.

"What a shithole."

*Billy POV*

I stare at the apartment 707 door in disbelief. This is the day I meet my mom. I knocked on the door and wait.

"Just a second!" A female voice calls.

The sounds of the locks being moved could be heard before the door opens to see her.

"Hey, look, I'm late for work already. I don't need magazines or what ever you're selling." She says.

"Oh, I'm-I'm not. You probably don't recognize each but...I found my way home. Mom, it's me." I say.

"Oh god. Is it? Uh, hang on."

"Who's at the door?" A voice yells form inside the apartment.

"It's um...it's no one, Travis." She answers the voice, before stepping into the hallway and closing the door.

"That wasn't Dad, was it?" I ask, looking at the ground.

"No, I...listen, it's really you, huh?"

"I didn't mean to run away. You know that, right? I let go by accident but, I...I..." I stammer, but can't find the right words.

"Yeah, I know. I saw you after."

"W-What?"

"I saw you after, it was never your fault. Look, I was 17, okay? My daddy kicked me out and your dad just decided to be apart of nothing. And I was hurting and I screwed up.
"It's just once I saw you with the police, I realized that they could do a better job at taking care of you than I ever will."

She starts tearing up.

"But, you're good, right? I mean, you landed on your feet. You look real good. It's just...now's not a good time for me, Billy."

"I wasn't alone. The night you left me, the police took me to an orphanage for the night. I met a girl named, Y/n. She stood by me the entire journey. All I wanted to do was to let you know I'm doing good but...I've gotta get back to my real family. Here." I say, giving her the compass.

"What's this?"

If I wasn't heartbroken enough, this would've done it. How does she not remember the compass?

"You might need it more then me."

I walk down the hallway, away from the apartment, not looking back. My phone rings. It's Freddy, so I answer it.

"Freddy, you're right. I-" I start but get cut off by a voice that didn't sound like Freddy at all.

"Come home, Billy. Come home." The voice says.

"Billy!" I hear Y/n yell.

"Super villain! Super villain!" Freddy yells.

Then the phone call end. Who's the voice? I need to get to them. I run up to the roof and jump off the roof.

"Shazam!"
