"What are you doin'? Waiting for your imaginary BFF to show up?" Brett asks.
"I'm not imaginary." I say, setting my tray on the table and sitting next to Freddy.
Brett takes some food from Freddy's tray before elbowing his head and leaving.
"What are you guys doing here?" Freddy asks as Mary, Eugene, Pedro, and Darla sit down at our table.
"We're having lunch with you." Mary explains, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
"But you guys have different lunch periods."
"Well, we made a very special arrangement."
"Darla, what's going on?"
"Why are you asking me?"
"Freddy Freeman! Y/n L/n!" A voice booms. It's Billy in his superhero form.
"Oh god no. He's actually doing it!" I whisper to myself as Freddy and I cover my face in embarrassment.
"These guys... taught me everything I know about being a dope superhero. True story, you should get some pointers from them." Billy says as he pulls up a chair. "What's goin' on, my best buds...in the whole world and also new kids that I'm meeting for the first time but seem very cool. I invited another friend, I hope that's okay."
Then I hear footsteps getting louder and louder and the whole cafeteria is filled with whispers. Suddenly the footsteps stop. Freddy and I slowly turn around.
Superman was behind us which made us let out a quickly scream in surprise.
