All men dream - but not equally. Those who dream by night, in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity... But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible. This I did.

Lawrence of Arabia
Nate, Sully and I were walking along the streets of London as we approach the Pelican Inn. When we enter the bar, the barman motions to the back room, and we follow his directions. We walk up the stairs and enter a room when a man, Charlie Cutter, walks up to us. "Hands up." He orders and we do as we're told and Cutter body-searches Nate, patting up and down his waist.
"Enjoying yourself, pal?" Nate asked him. "Oh, yeah, you're a comedian." Cutter said as he moves on to check me. "Don't get too handsy." I warned. "Yeah, yeah, whatever." Cutter mutters then he goes over to Sully. "Nice warm welcome." Sully grumbles as Cutter finishes the search. "They're clean." Cutter said to Talbot, a man in a business-like suit with slicked back dark hair.
Sully, Nate and I walk up to the pool table in front of Talbot. "My apologies, one can't be too careful." He said. "I'm guessing you're Talbot?" Sully asked and Talbot nods at him. "Mr. Sullivan. And -- Mr and Miss Drake." He said as he looks over at Nate and I. "That's right." Nate said as I nod with him.
"Do you have it?" Talbot asked us. "Let's, uh, see the money first." Sully said. "Cutter." Talbot ordered and Cutter places a breifcase on the pool table. Talbot opens it and turns it around for us to see. It looked to be full of large wads of £50 notes. "It's all there." Talbot said as Nate, Sully and I exchange confused looks. "Now let's see it." Talbot said and Nate looks over at me then nods. I sigh a bit before I take off my necklace with the ring on it, and hold it out. "I'll need to authenticate it." Talbot said. "Of course." I said as I give the ring to Talbot to examine.
"Silver...16th century..." Talbot mutters as Nate picks up a wad of cash and flips through it. "...Elizabethan design...Enscribed with Sir Francis Drake's motto..." He continues as Sully starts walking toward Talbot. "Well, it appears to be genuine." Talbot said as he looks up at us. "Well, of course it's genuine." Sully said.
"If I may ask, how did you three come into this?" Talbot asked us. "Does it matter?" I asked him, this makes Talbot laugh. "My client will be very pleased." He said with a smile. "Hold on a minute - guys, this is fake." Nate said as he holds up the notes. Sully picks up the eyeglass, that Talbot was using to examine the ring, and looks at the money.
"I assure you, Mr. Drake..." Talbot tried to assure but Sully shakes his head. "Woah, woah, you are right. This is phony as a three dollar bill." He said and I look over at Talbot. "What the hell are you tryin' to pull here?" I asked him, angrily. "Perhaps I should be asking you." Talbot replied, glaring at me.
"This is bullshit." Nate said as he pushes the case away. Talbot and I reach for the ring, simultaniously, then Talbot's hand was on top of mine. "The deal's off, pal." I said as I pull my hand out from under Talbot's, the ring in it.
"And you. You can tell your client you blew it." Sully said as he points at Talbot then he turns to Nate and I. "C'mon kids, let's get the hell outta here." He said and we start to walk out but then we were intervened by Talbot. "You're not really in a position to negotiate. Now give me the ring, take the case, and walk out of here like good people. While you still can." Talbot said but Nate and I continue, only to be stopped by Cutter.
"Do as the man says." Cutter said and he pushes Nate and I away. Then Sully, Nate and I were being pursued by one of Talbot's men. "You're a thief!" Nate shouts at him. "Well, now that's ironic." Talbot said as he smiles grimly, looking between me and Nate.
