At school, I park and rush to the entrance. As usual, Lani waits for me at the entrance along with a few of her friends who im not exactly friends with. They wave and we walk into the building together. "Aw damn it I have math today!" Piper sighs, and we laugh, knowing full well she loves math. The bell rings just as I step into the door, and Mrs. Fillian is already sitting at her desk looking me at, tapping her foot impatiently. I cringe back into my backpack and whisper sorry, quickly walking to my seat in the back row.
"Okay class. Listen up."
"Yes Mrs. Fillian" the class echos back at her like clockwork.
"Today we will have fourty five minutes to write an essay on Shakesperes play, Romeo and Juliet, the classic!" The class groans. "Hurry! Not much time!"
"Help me" I whisper under my breath, laughing, but also panicking.
The day passes, and I get my essay plus other work done on time, and done pretty well. Midday comes and goes until it turns three eleven, dismissal. The bell rings and its a tornado of complete confusion passes over us as a few hundred kids filter out of the rooms like water. I wait to talk to my geometry teacher about the work that is due tomorrow, just to avoid being stampeded. Eventually I get out of the school, and I drive home.
A few days pass like this, not much different. Wake up, get dressed, go to school, work on useless shit, go home, sleep, repeat. I dont complain though. My birthday is coming up on June 2nd. Most likely i will get some gifts from my friends, but really, my favorite part is getting to hang out with my mom.
