His lover's body laid on the hospital bed, his hands icy cold; his eyes still fluttered shut; his body hooked to many machines that barely kept him alive.

Yuta sat beside him, holding his hand and face hidden from his green-haired, golden-haired, and red-haired best friends that accompanied him in the room on the cushioned chairs, un-moving.

"If that f##king drunk driver didn't recklessly swerve through traffic, he wouldn't be here, in a coma." He seethed, clutching his husband's hand as silent droplet of tears chased each other down his cheeks.

"You can't really turn back time, Yuta-kun." Izuku softly whispered, his head on the golden-haired as the trio stayed for moral support.

"Just hope that he will come back." Denki, who would usually joke around at this time to lighten up the mood, is unusually quiet. He knew Taeil is clinging onto his last thread of life.

Eijirou just went silent, salty waters pooling from his eyes and threatening to run down.

Soon, they had to leave, leaving their friend in the room, begging to God above.

The next day, a bi-coloured hair walked in with a pink-skinned girl, holding a bag of food for the skinny male.

"Here, eat this." Shoto handed him the food. Yuta thanked him and started digging in.

"How are you feeling, Yuta-kun?" Ashido placed her palm of his forehead, feeling the heat rising.

"Feel like death." The other replied, already finishing his food and threw it in the rubbish bin.

"You haven't got a wink of sleep for the past week, Nakamoto-kun. You should get some rest." Shoto worriedly suggested, spotting the dark bags under his eyes.

"I'm fine, Shoto-kun." He smiled, fighting back a yawn.

"I'm calling Asuga-san." The heterochromia boy threatened, already pulling out his phone from his pocket to dial the said other half-half female, who they knew that she will rush over to force him to sleep.

"Okay, okay. Just- Just don't call her." Yuta gave in, propping his arms on the bed and placed his head on top of it, slowly closing his eyes.

Not even a minute later, he was knock out in the speed of light.

"What're we going to do if Taeil-san doesn't make it?" Ashido asked Shoto with her eyes glazed over with glass. The boy kept his straight face, but he was worried sick internally.

"Let's just hope that he can move on. Besides, Taeil-san has that special place in his heart that no one can steal."

~~~
Two months has passed, and they all knew that he won't wake up.
The doctor - Neito - prepared himself to pull the hooks that kept him alive, his hands trembling.
"Please, Neito! Just two more days!" They all internally winced at his voice crack, Eijirou and Katsuki having it rougher by holding the crying male back.
"Just do it, Monoma." Asuga whispered regrettably, already knowing about his future that she didn't dare say it.
"I'm sorry." He murmured before the monitor went flatline.
Yuta dropped to his knees, burying his face into his palms as his wails filled the room, shooting arrows in all of their hearts.
"Why?!"
