Taken aback by his words, Lance stared at the floor, trying to process if this was real or not. Was Lance really inviting him to work at cirque du soleil with him? Was this just a dream? Would he wake up in his bed, still dressed in his uniform, wondering why he dreamed what he did?

Keith's mind was a buzz. Thoughts flying aimlessly with no destination; no end.

"I... why me?"

"Didnt I just explain why-"

"No, I mean, why me? You barely know me and now you want me to move to France with you." Keith ran his fingers through his long hair, unable to think. This guy whom he had never even seen a month ago was inviting him to move halfway across the world.

Lance sat up in his bed, finally ripping his eyes away from the white, popcorn ceiling, and looked at Keith. For the first time ever he saw the most confused and innocent look. "Well," he said, "we wouldn't be moving there; it would just be for a few months. Plus, I think you are the most practical one in the group aside from Pidge." He smiled at the raven haired boy and propped himself up on one elbow.

Keith stared back. "So im part of your 'group' now?"

"Well, you are going to be living with me for the next however long."

"I never said I would go." Keith frowned and stood up. "Let me think about it." And then he exited the room, leaving Lance alone with his thoughts.

When Keith arrived back at his house, he plopped down on the couch and stared up at the ceiling. Its paint was beginning to crack, showing the true age of the house. Sighing to himself, Keith looked at his phone as it buzzed multiple times.

LanceyLance: hey.

LanceyLance: mullet.

LanceyLance: check ur email.

Annoyed, Keith opened his inbox to find a forwarded email. It was written by Coran himself, explaining the terms of Lance's invitation. Quickly reading it over, Keith stopped when he got to the message written by Lance.

Look, I know this is a lot to take in and a lot to process. I know you just met me and all, but I was talking to Adam earlier and he mentioned that it was your dream to go to cirque du soleil. Pidge and Hunk both dont see cirque du soleil as something they want to do in their lives. You and me on the other hand arent that different. We both want something that we have the opportunity to get.

I don't want to drag someone along who won't appreciate it. Thats why im asking you. Even though you hate me and even though you probably don't want to put up with me for months at a time, im begging you to please consider.

Plus, I have a feeling that you have a great taste in music, so the plane ride could be fun.

~Lance

Keith stared at the message for a second before he heard the door open. "Hey, so Adam and I decided we were going to leave earlier so we booked a flight for later tonight. We wanted to say goodbye first."

"Ok. Bye. Oh, and um, I might not be here when you guys get back."

"So you've decided to take Lance's offer?" Shiro raised an eyebrow and Keith glared at him.

"I said might."

"Well in that case, send us a text before you leave and when you arrive so we know you're safe."
