Chapter 28: A promise to keep

Y/n was watching the two girls while serving them food. He was really happy that he couldn't stop smiling looking at them.

'It's just like the old days. The two kept arguing on small stuff like who has the ownership of that particular chicken wing, who is the prettier girl, who is cuter.....

It's been a long time I smile from the bottom of my heart, like a kid. This same genuine smile was not on Sana's face for a long time as well.

Although both of us hadn't talked about our everyday feelings for so long, we had know each other since the first day. Even just a blink, we would know what each other were actually thinking.... even we didn't want to.'

"Sana, you look stunning, gorgeous when you are happy, like truly happy for real..." Y/n suddenly burst out the statement out of the blue while looking at Sana.

The girls stopped with Momo smirking and Sana blushing.

"Ya~! I... always look gorgeous!" 🐿 (aegyo tone)
"Ya! I am still here! Stop this or get me a boyfriend as well~~~ 😭" 🍑 (crying tone)

"No no. I mean like you look... like you... like... never mind. I sound stupid. You girls finished? I am gonna go wash these up now." Y/n was embarrassed as he was supposed to be talking to himself in his thoughts. He scratched his neck and got up and start packing.

He looked at the clock and it's already passed 5:30pm.

"Moguri, I guess you will be staying for dinner then? We don't have much food left in stock. I am going to get some ingredients. Let's make malatang then as you both wants it? I still have some Chinese spices I secretly brought with me from home."

"Yeah!!! Buy ice cream as well pleaseeeee~!" 🍑 said excitingly, "milk as well, in case too spicy. Actually, just buy more ice cream!"

".....sure you don't need help? I can go with you." after struggling mentally and physically fidgeting, Sana asked Y/n as she felt like they had argued for so long, especially today, but they hadn't really have time for each other although things seemed to be much clearer now. Just time for 2, when both have clear mind.

There's no reply for a few seconds as Y/n was surprised at the offer. Sana never offered to help, even when they were close at young age.

".....er.... it's fine. Em..... I thought to give you girls some alone time? I couldn't add into the conversations of yours anyways. You girls are too jumpy and switching language too often.

I will get some alcohol as well..."

"....Momo-a, I am 2 years older than you guys remember? I am 19 already.... just because I needa be at same high school and same year as Sana, I dropped to this year. I am studying at night for the uni I was admitted to....."

"You guys are in sync.... Anyways... I am gonna go get something then. Hey, Sana, I guess you girls will talk forever tonight and there's no school tomorrow. How about let Momo stay over tonight? I can get some snacks as well?" Y/n wore his shoes while asking Sana

"Why not?"
"Where will you be then?" 🐹🤨🤨🤨
"I will be in my room at your service, mam. I need to work on something as well and I think Moguri can then accompany you."

(🍑complaining in the background: YA~!! I am not servant. Why the reason to stay is to accompany her!! And you guys didn't even ask me whether I want to stay or not!!)

"Fine then. Don't go too long." Sana replies after a long thought. Although she desperately wanted to talk to Y/n, but seems y/n wasn't ready as it's seldom he couldn't catch her signals. He's avoiding to be alone with her somehow.

'But at least we can talk freely with no hate and doubt between us anymore? it's already a big step~' she thought

"Yo, Moguri, sure you don't want to stay? I can make you good midnight snack as well. You can eat and drink whatever you want~" 😏 y/n asked while readying to go out.

"Of course I am staying. To clarify, I am staying because of Satang, not the food ok!? She's my besties!!

Ah~ you are leaving now!? Hey, just because you offered that I can eat what I want, buy jokbal and ramen on your way back. And chicken feet. As you can buy alcohol, buy some easy to drink beer that suits girls like us. Again, it's because you offered." Momo exclaimed while explaining herself how much she treasure Sana and she's definitely only staying because Sana not food. Definitely not because of food.... 🧐

"Yea yea, sure. I am going now. I will be driving to the large supermarket so I guess will take around 1-2 hours. In the meantime, call me or text me if you thought of anything else.

Oh! If you can't find anything, please also text of call. I would love to see this place still remains clean and tidy like now before I leave when I am back. And try not to burn down the place as well you two while I am away."

"YA!!!!" 😡🐿🍑

"Hahahahaha..... I am seriously, don't burn it down!" Y/n grabbed his key and laughed on his way out while waving to the girls.

Sana went towards the door before y/n close it "Be safe ok? Don't go for too long."

Y/n smiled at her and gave her a few pads on her head which made Sana complained a bit as she didn't like being treated as a kid/doggie.

"Haha.... I won't be. Wait for me, ok? You stay save as well." and gave her a peck on her forehead before closing the door.

'Maybe, it's fate. Going to Korea and finding Moguri helped us to fix our issues. At least we won't be hating each other or blaming each other when we get marry.....' Y/n smiles while going to his car that parked outside of his house.

He was happy about where the things were moving toward. He remembered that he promised himself that day that he would not let Sana cried herself like a broken doll with a broken heart anymore.  

'I failed for the past 10 years. I will not forget this promise again. I will keep it this time. Wait for me. Just a while more..." He promised himself again.

When Y/n was opening the door of his car, he was surprised by a back hug.....

"You really want to marry her?"

Y/n was jumped by the back hug and looked back. He was surprised to see who thought had left already, "Rose, I.... I thought you had left..."

"It's now Rose only?!?! You don't understand how much I love you. I can do anything for you, just to make you be with me." Rose said desperately and her eyes were red.

They had dated for 2 years. That's enough to know one person and to y/n's eyes, something was off in Rose.

"Rose, are you ok? I am sorry if I had hurt you. I truly am. I don't want to discuss with you while you are at this status. You have somewhere to stay and get sober?

Again, I am truly sorry what I had made you went through....."

"I am fine if we are together again!" Rose yelled

"Rosie... nothing can be done..." y/n said with sorry in his eyes. Just like what Sana said, it was very selfish of him as he already knew what the outcome would be if he got involved with another girl.

"Do you love her?" Rose asked again, but in a tone that starting to scare y/n

"I can kill for you and to get back everything I deserves...." Rose continued

"Rose, I am sorry I got involved with you when I already know the ending. But as said, nothing can be changed. It's arranged long time ago and.... and I think I do love her. Since the beginning...." y/n looked in Rose eyes worried but sure.

"Nothing? You sure?" Rose scoffed, "Not Even if I am pregnant?"
