They all know what they know

Jason woke up with a scream. He was the last one to wake up, everyone else was waiting anxiously in the other room. Alfred rushed into the room.

"Master Todd!"

Jason sat up breathing hard. He focused on his breathing. You're at the manor. You're safe. The mantra running through his head did little to calm him, because as Roman had just proven nowhere was safe.

"I'm good Alfred. I just, I think I'm gonna go."

He stood up, not sure where exactly he planned to go to. His plan was to go anywhere but here, with his family who knew. He just wished they didn't know. But they did. And they were going to be insufferable. He tried to leave but Alfred grabbed his arm.

"You can't just pretend it didn't happen."

Jason lifted his chin defiantly.

"Fine. We'll talk about right now. And this will be the only time we talk about it."

Alfred released his arm and he walked into the living room looking for the first time squarely at each distraught face.

"So we're talking about this. This is the only time we're gonna talk about this. As a matter of fact we're going to pretend that this bullshit never happened after this talk."

His words were harsh, but he didn't care. He needed them to understand that he couldn't talk about. That talking about it might break him for good.

When no one protested he continued.

"Yes all of that did happen. Yes I blamed you guys for a long time for not saving me, but then I got over myself. I'm over it, you guys need to get over it too. End of discussion."
