Dear diary,
Mum has been acting really strangely and I don't know what to do?
She doesn't want to do anything and he has been smoking heaps and she has been drinking a fair bit and not eating properly. I have asked her what is wrong and she just says she doesn't want to worry me about it. She just sleeps all day and doesn't care about anything I think she must be going through some type of mental break down or something? I catch her crying a lot but she just says that she just finished a sad book or it's happy tears from a good movie she just finished watching. I think she is really upset about being a single mum now or something? and I do get it because her and dad have been together for 25 years I would have never thought they would get a divorce, but they did and she needs to get over that in her own way but some how I have a bad gut feeling about the way she is dealing with it and she won't talk to me I think she might need counselling or something but I can't talk to her she won't let me in. I feel like talking to dad about it but that will probably make it worse she will probably make me feel bad for telling dad. They haven't talked at all since dad rang to say he had arrived safely in Darwin apart from handing the phone to me, dad still wants to be friends but mum is making it out that dad was in the wrong.
