Chapter 24: Hard

Emmalee's POV
After mine and Corbyns date at the beach we went back to the Why Don't We house to swim around in their pool. I couldn't wait to get back cause I told Daniel that I would go for a swim with him but I don't think he knows that Corbyn is going to be there.
Earlier that Day
Em:"Dani please open the door!? Please?"
Then the door cracked open enough for me to see Daniel walking back to his bed.
Em:"Dani?"
I said walking in and closing the door, locking it behind me.
Em:"Dani I'm sorry."
Dani:"Em you have nothing to be sorry about, I mean you have been the most perfect girlfriend that any boy would want. Plus I was paid to kiss her for a video and I guess Angi started likening me and then one thing lead to the other. So it was me, all me!"*slams back against the bed covering his eyes*
Even though he covered his eyes and laid back I could tell he was breaking, I could tell this was hurting him really bad.
Em:"No Dani this is also my fault."*sits beside him*
Em:"I may have been so messed up yesterday that I did something that I never thought I would do. Plus I can relate cause remember that dude at the hospital?"
Dani:"Yeah?"
Em:"Well me and him used to date and I found out he paid another dude to come and kiss me, so he could see it and make fun of me, but the truth is I really liked him. And I think back to that day and wish that I would have been different."
Dani:"But you are different?"
Em:"I know that's because I changed after my brother left for college."
Then I felt Daniels arm wrap around my shoulders as I started to blush, so I laided my head on his shoulder to hide it.
Dani:"I know your blushing."
I felt his smile appear on his face as mine started to do he same. We sat like that for a good 10 minutes before I remembered Corbyn.
Em:"Oh shoot! I have to go! But I will be back later."*stands up*
Then I felt Daniel grab my hand.
Dani:"Maybe a swim later?"
Em:"For sure!"
Then he smiled as I ran out the door.

Present
We just pulled in when we heard someone from the backyard scream, "POOL PARTY!"
Then I realized Daniel didn't just mean me and him he meant a pool party.
So me and Corbyn made our way to the backyard with our suits on, pushing through the crowd of people. We went to the kitchen but we never found Daniel until we went to the bond fire in the backyard. As soon as I saw him I grabbed Corbyns hand as we walked over to him.
Dani:"Hey what's up, Em and Corb?"
Corb:"I could ask the same thing?"
Dani:"Oh well, I got bored so I invited some friends over and then they brought their friends and their friends brought their friends and so now I'm here."
Em:"I though we were going to hang out?"
Dani:"Oh yeah, but later."
Em:"Daniel I'm leaving for the airport in like an hour."
Then Lucy and Molly both came up and hugged me from behind.
Lucy:"Hey girl what's up?"
Then I felt my face getting red really red.
Mols:"Em are you okay?"
Em:"I'm fine."
Then I walked off and ran upstairs to my room and locked the door and flopped on my bed with a sigh.
2 hours later
It's been about two hours and it's time to get on our flight so I change into a blue sweater with leggings and some warm boots. Then I put my hair up in a messy bun.

The next thing I do is grab all my things and open the door, but before I can leave I give my room one last look and then close the door and grab my stuff.
Man I'm going to miss this place and all the fun and bad times I've had. Like I'm going to miss all the pool times and movie nights and all the YouTube videos we've made in this house. And this is the place where we all had our first kiss but it's time to let go and go back to our normal lives even though....
Then I heard a loud crash from downstairs which stirred me from my thoughts. So I took off down the stairs dropping my stuff right at the door. And when I went around the corner I saw Molly and Jordyn fighting.
Mols:"YOU STUPID LITTLE MOTHER...!"
Em:"MOLLY!"
Then everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me.
Em:"I'm tired of all this crap! Go upstairs and grab your things, we're LEAVING!"
Then Lucy went and grabbed Molly and ran her up stairs. When they reached he top of he stairs everybody went back to their own business but Jordyn was gone.

After they got all their things we loaded up into our Uber van. Which could only fit about 6 people so two would have to stay behind.
Em:"Everything loaded?"
Corb:"No not everything."
Em:"What are we forgetting?"
Corb:"Dont worry about it just get into the van and I'll go get it."
Then he went inside so I didn't think anything else of it, so me and the girls got in the van.

In the first row it was going to be Lucy and Jack, then the second row would be Molly and Zach and the last row would be me and Corbyn.
After Corbyn brought a bag out and put it in the back he got into the van, but before we could pull out of course here came Daniel running towards the van.
Em:"Ugh What does he want?"
Corb:"I don't know but just stay in the van, please."
Then Corbyn got out leaving the door cracked so I could hear.
Corb:"Bro what do you want?"
Dani:"I want Em back!"
Corb:"Dude she is over you, get over it!"
Dani:"No! She still likes me and even you know it!"
After I heard that I scooted over to the window so I could see them. And that's when I saw Daniel swing and punch Corbyn square in the jaw, knocking him to the ground. Then Daniel started walking to the van, so I quickly shut the door and locked it and the window.
Dani:"Em open the fucking door!!"
Em:"No leave me alone Dani!"
I could tell he was drunk but I didn't understand he never drinks unless he is sad or very very happy.
Dani:"Em, I'm going to ask you nicely. Open the door please?"
I was literally thinking about opening it because he looked at me with a look that said I need you. So I started opening the door when Daniel got drugged back and knocked to the ground with one hit and with that hit he was out.
Em:"Corbyn!"
I said as I ran over and hugged him. He had a really bad black eye and needed stitches I think by his ear.
Em:"Are you okay?"*pulls away and starts looking over his face*
Corb:*grabs hands and puts them to his chest*"Em I'm fine. Now let's go before he wakes up."
Then I smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek as we got into the van where everybody was asleep so they didn't see any of the fight.

During the car ride the music played softly and there was a light sound of snoring from Zach, up front. Right when we left I felt Corbyns eyes on me so to block that feeling I grabbed his hand and laided my head on his shoulder as I slowly fell asleep.
