•°•"did she say anything?" he asked, running his hands through his hair.
"uh, no."
he sighed and looked down before asking, "who was she with?"
"I don't know."
"did she tell you where she's staying?"
"why on earth would she tell me where she's staying?"
he let out another sigh and looked at me with yet another hurt expression, "damn, I must have annoyed the fck outta you... I'm so sorry"
I smiled at him and shook my head. he did annoy me, but he was hurting. I was sure that his mind was clouded, so how could I be a btch to him? before I got the chance to respond, one of my coworkers approached me. confused, I looked at my phone to see that my shift was over 15 minutes ago. my eyes widened with excitement.
"hi ciel," she greeted, with a dull expression coating her features,"its almost eight fifteen, sadly for me, but luckily for you, my shift starts now."
"and I couldn't be any happier," I smirked before continuing to tease her. "looks like we'll be busy tonight... it's Friday after all. have fun."
"wait," she said before we swatted. "finish with this customer at least."
I looked up to see him staring at me, with a small smile playing on his lips.
"nah, I'll be going now," with that, he walked out of the place.
-
after changing out of my uniform, I put on a hoodie and headed out.
"ciel," a voice called. I looked over my shoulder to see the guy from earlier leaning against the wall by the entrance.
my eyes widened in surprise. I titled my head to the side, waiting for some sort of explanation. smiling, he made his way towards me. I observed the way he walked, his masculine figure, his dark hair...I realised how much of a fine catch he was. his personality wasn't terrible either from what I saw. it made me wonder why would anyone leave such a creature behind.
"hi," he smiled.
I laughed. that was unexpected.
"what's so funny?" he furrowed his eyebrows.
"nothing," I lied. "I thought you left. why are you still here?"
"I just wanted to buy you something to eat maybe... I owe you atleast that much."
"you don't owe me anything!"
he threw his head back and laughed. I was so tempted to ask what made him laugh that hard, but I didn't.
"I don't understand," he said before suppressing another fit of laughter. "why do you look so terrified? it's just food."
"thank you, but that won't be necessary."
"still, I'm doing it because I'll feel like shit for being such a bother."
he looked down, and I felt like he wasn't really happy. he was still in pain and I didn't want to add to that.
"so what are you buying me?"
he looked up, smirking, "so, do you like wraps?"
