I sniffed the air as the door to my bookstore was opened. I was only twenty-one, but I ran the store by myself. "Hello," I greeted the five boys cheerfully. I froze when I saw one. My eyes widened for a second, but I quickly regained composure. "Yeah, our fans are going a bit crazy. You mind if we hang out here for a while?' asked the tallest one. He had chestnut brown hair, gold brown eyes, and he was defiantly the most mature. "Sure, babe. I'm just about to close up shop, so y'all can go wait upstairs if you'd like," I smiled. "Upstairs?" asked the little Irish one. He had bleached his brown hair, his eyes were gorgeous blue, and he seemed very care free. "I live upstairs," I smiled. The tall one nodded, and they headed up. I stood once they were gone, and turned the sign on the door. I padded up the stairs after a second.
"So, I never got your names," I informed them. I was looking into the mirror on one side of the room. I was pulling a brush through my white blond hair. My green eyes were locked on the boys behind me. The oldst had soft brown hair, sparkling blue eyes, and was defiantly immature. Another had his almost black hair up in a quiff, his brown eyes shown with mystery, and he was very quiet. The last one had unruly brown curls, emerald green eyes, and he was a hunter. He was a hunter, but he was my mate. Now that didn't make much sense. "I'm Liam," informed the tallest. "I'm Zayn," said the quiet one. "I'm Niall," smiled the Irish one. "I'm Louis!" cheered the immature one. "I'm Harry," hissed my mate. "I'm Luna," I smiled faintly through the mirror. "Luna? Fit's you doesn't it?" Harry growled. "Now, now, Harry, I know you've got a problem with my kind, but you are a guest," I smiled, turning to face them. "What do you mean?" asked Liam. "You mean he hasn't told you about us?" I gasped. "Don't you dare," Harry snapped. "Oh, don't worry, babe. I wouldn't hurt you precious little humans," I rolled my eyes. I stood and walked over to stand in front of all of them. "What are you two talking about?" demanded Liam. "Harry here is a hunter of my kind," I informed with a smiled. "What exactly is your kind?" Zayn asked. "I'm a werewolf," I grinned. Niall snorted out a laugh. "Yeah, and I'm a vampire," Louis rolled his eyes. "I'm afraid if you were, Louis, I would have to kill you. But you are not. You are a mere human," I smiled politely. "Prove it," Liam instructed me. "I formed my nails into claws, and snarled at them. They gasped and scrambled to get away from me, that is but Harry, that is .
It took a while to calm them back down, but when I did they started asking my questions. "Is it true you only change on full moons?" asked Niall. "No," I smiled. "Is it true you kill humans for fun?" asked Harry, and evil grin on his face. "If that were true, you all would be dead on the floor," I rolled my eyes. "Is it true you roam in packs?" Liam asked. "For most yes, but I was exiled as a baby and was adopted by a human family. I am a rogue," I informed, a slight frown on my face. "Why were you exilled?" Niall asked. "I'm not quiet sure," I smiled sadly. "Is it true you find soulmates?" Zayn asked. "Yes, and before you ask I have found mine. He is human, and a hunter," I frowned again. "What's a hunter?" Louis asked, while Liam put a comoferting hand on mine. "A hunter is someone who kills wolves like me, because they believe we are unsafe. They believe we do not deserve to live," I stated. "You don't," Harry growled out. "You have been taught such things haven't you? Hmm, what a shame," I smirked at him. "Shut up! It isn't my fault you're disgusting!" he hissed. "You're right, I'm sorry," I smiled faintly.
They left thirty minutes later. Liam gave me his number, but I don't plan on using it. I collapsed to the floor, as sobs started to shake my body. Why was I born this way? Why was I such a freak? Not even my pack wanted me. I must have been to weak, I still am to weak. I'm disgusting, just like Harry said. I try to be normal, but when hunters walk in I just lose it. I get so mad that they want to kill us for something we have no control over. It took all my willpower to get off the ground and go to bed.
I woke up the next morning, and put on floor length lacy white dress. I walked down stairs, and opened shop. I stood behind the counter for a while, until I saw that mess of curly hair walk in. he had his head down, but he walked over to me. "How may I help you?" I asked him sweetly. "Liam told me I had to apologize for how I acted last night. So, I'm sorry," he sighed. "It's alright," I tried to smile at him. "What's wrong?" he asked instantaneously. "Nothing, I hurt my leg is all," I faked a smile this time. "Liar, mutts heal faster then us humans. You wouldn't feel pain anymore," he snapped. "Fine, you're right. It's just mate problems. As I said he's a hunter, there for he hates me," I laughed bitterly. "Would you mind if I stayed?" he asked. I shook my head. He helped me out all day, and that night I was sad when he had to leave. "Thanks for the help," I smiled warmly. "I only did it because Liam said I had to make up for my cruelty," he growled. "Thank you, anyway," I laughed. "I hope you figure things out with your mate," he sighed, and walked away. "Bye, Harry!" I called out. "Bye, Luna," he whispered, and I just barely caught it floating in the wind.
The next morning Harry apperead at the door. "So, last night I was thinking," he informed. "About what?" I responded. "Your mate. I think you should just tell him there is nothing you two can to about the bond you share," he stated. "Really? Hmm, alright, if you really feel that way..." I trailed off. "I never did ask, but who is your mate? Us hunters know each other," he smiled. "Well, love, since you wanted me to tell. It's you," I informed. "What?" he gasped. "You heard me, love. Now before you hit me, please go," I pointed to the door. He turned on his heel. "You're disgusting," he growled over his shoulder.
A week passed and Harry still hadn't come back. I felt like shrivelling up and dying. It was a bad idea to tell him. Suddenly Distance by Christina Perri was playing. I kept music playing throughout out the store, but it had never shocked me the way this song did. I started to sway in spot, singing along. "I'll make sure to keep my distance, say I love you when you aren't listening," I sang along. Just then Harry ran through the door, and stomped over to me. "You," he growled. "Me?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "Yes, you," he hissed. "What did I do?" I gasped as he stepped really close to me. "Made me feel this way," he snapped, and then he kissed me. It was just a soft brush on the lips, but it was perfect. "i'm not quite sure what the problem here is," I frowned. "My family is going to kill me when they find out," he sighed. "I'm sorry," I said. He just shrigged and kissed me again.
