"Jamie, hurry the fuck up! We need to go in half an hour!" I called out from the kitchen where I had already eaten my breakfast.
Today was the big day where I'd see Demi again after nearly a year. I can tell you: I wasn't ready.
I heard a lot of noise coming out of Jamie's bedroom. I laughed, stood up and went inside his room. I found him laying next to his bed with his arms in the air.
"Are you trying out for a role as mummy for your next gig? What are you doing, man. Get up." I said as I helped him to stand up.
"I stumbled over Oreo. That little devil thought it was a good idea to sleep next to my bed on my slides." He said annoyed as he worked himself into his clothes.
I started laughing and picked Oreo up from the floor.
"Look at his innocent little face. You can't stay mad at him, look!" I said as I shoved Oreo in Jamie's face.
He sneezed and turned around. I looked at him with a puzzled face.
"Are you allergic all of a sudden?" I asked.
He shook his head.
"Not for dogs, but for dust. And your friend here.." He started, dramatically pointing at Oreo, "went under my bed. And we all know I never clean the dust under my bed because that's simply too much effort."
"Well, mister Annoyed, we need to go in twenty minutes, so please hurry up." I said.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm coming. Can you grab an apple for me?" He asked.
I nodded and walked out of the room.
A few minutes later Jamie went inside the kitchen. I threw the apple in his hands.
"Thanks." He said as he sat down across the table. He took his phone out of his pocket and made himself comfortable.
For a moment it stayed silent. The only sound you could hear was Jamie eating his apple and me tapping with my pen on the counter on the beat of a song that was playing on the radio.
"When are you finally gonna get your driving license?" Jamie suddenly asked out of the blue.
"Why you asking?" I asked.
"Because I just realized my car is still in the garage and I'm pretty sure you haven't called an Uber yet." He replied as he stood up to grab a cereal bar out of the cupboard.
"Oh.. Well, I don't know when I'm gonna get my driving license. You know I'm damn scared to drive. Especially in LA's traffic." I said as I shrugged.
"Yeah, I get that. But you can't keep doing it with Ubers your whole life." Jamie said.
"I know, I know.. I'll try it soon. Maybe I can borrow the old bicycle of my grandma for now. She lives here too." I said.
"Good one, but you can't cycle for shit."
"Watch me."
Jamie laughed and grabbed my jacket from the chair next to him.
"The Uber is here." He said. I stood up and looked at him confused.
"But I haven't called-.."
"I already did it for you. Come." He interrupted.
I smiled and followed him out of the apartment.

"Kelly, I'm nervous." I said when we walked inside her studio.
Kelly laughed and stood up from her chair.
