Changes and more changes

Optimus paced back and forth. As he waited for McKayla to wake up, she was in critical condition.

She lost a lot of blood... Well, energon, and she has been unconscious for 6 days now. Miko cried until she couldn't no more, it was her fault this happened, and she blamed herself.

Everyone was more concerned than mad at her, and they didn't blame her. Jack and Raf  tried to comfort Miko, but it only made it worse, and she isolated herself... even from Bulkhead.

Optimus stayed by Mckayla's side for the whole 6 days no recharge, no breaks, Ratchet came to check on her vitals same, but no change, Ratchet spent his time researching the relic.

Apparently, it was designed to change the body of a living thing into something else, and it had to scan something of an object and once it touches the body of a host it would change into what the relic has scanned.

So, when the relic scanned the energon and hit McKayla it turned her into a Autobot. Luckily, she can change back to her human form, but she would always have turn back to her Autobot form in order to survive. 

"Optimus?"

Optimus looked up and saw Ratchet,

"Please for Primus sake. Rest!  I don't want to worry about you too". 

"I can't Ratchet, McKayla needs me". Optimus said looking at McKayla 

"She needs you to rest, you know she would agree with me". Ratchet retorted 

Optimus nodded, he was exhausted but he didn't want to leave her, she was everything to him, if he lost her... he probably wouldn't recover like he almost did when he lost Elita. But he knew that if the roles were reversed, she would listen to Ratchet and rest.

He stood up and leaned toward Mckayla's face plate and kissed her cheek, he walked away and then went to his berth room. 

6 hours later

"Optimus! Optimus!" 

Optimus woke up, with Ratchet shaking his shoulder.

"Ratchet! What's wrong?" 

"It's McKayla.... she's awake!" He smiled. 

Optimus jumped up and ran to her room with Ratchet behind him, he stopped at the doorway, McKayla was sitting up, she was back in her human form, she was holding onto Miko and talking to her, they both were crying.

Jack and Raph hugged them as they all were crying, Arcee, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead were there too, happy and relieved that she was okay.

Optimus smiled and breathed out a sigh, he leaned on the doorway, and watched them, McKayla then looked up and saw Optimus, she smiled and hugged her friends one more time, and then started to climb down the berth.

Optimus quickly ran toward her and had her climb on his servo. 

"McKayla". He gasped, she smiled, she was covered with bandages and limping slightly.

 "Hey". She whispered

Optimus smiled as tears were flowing from his optics, he put her down and then transformed into his alt mode and he jumped out and ran towards her, they embraced each other and kissed, they wrapped their arms around each other.

"Oh McKayla". Optimus whispered.

"Optimus, we got to stop meeting each like this". She chuckled slightly. 

Optimus laughed as he started sobbing and shaking uncontrollably, McKayla embraced him even more, and they knelt to the ground.

"It's ok Optimus, I am not leaving anytime soon". She assured him as tears went down her face.

"I love you Mckayla with all my spark". Optimus whispered.

McKayla smiled and put her head on his shoulder "I love you too Optimus". 

1 year later

McKayla laughed as she and Optimus drove down the abandoned street, her upper body was out the window with her arms were open wide

She laughed as the wind went through her hair, Optimus drove carefully as he was hanging onto her waist with his arm, making sure she didn't fly out.

"I am a graduate!" She yelled to the world, as she grabbed her paper cap Miko gave her, she threw it out the window for that's what Miko made it for instead of her throwing her actually cap.

"Woohoo!" She yelled as she carefully crawled back into the truck.

"I am king of the world!" She laughed, as she held Optimus's hand, Optimus smiled and continued to their destination.

"So Optimus where are we going? Don't you want to go to a party and get drunk?" She asked 

Optimus looked at her very concerned and she started laughing.

"OMGoodness I am just kidding! Just kidding. No, no alcohol for me. Ever!"

Optimus looked relieved, "No parties, this is a surprise for you". 

"Oh? A surprise?" She asked. 

"Yes". Optimus answered turning slightly blue.

McKayla raised her eyebrow, leaned over and kissed his cheek, which turned him bluer, "Well I am kind of glad it's not a party, I have been to like 5 graduation parties, but I am excited what you have planned". 

"I hope so". Optimus smiled touching her face.

They went to the drive-in theater, where they had their first date. They watched The Little Mermaid, another favorite of Optimus's and McKayla's.

The whole time, Optimus was bright blue. Mckayla smirked as she would look at him and stroke his face or hand which would turn more and more blue, she laughed as she loved seeing him so nervous, but she also hoped that he was okay. Finally at the end of the movie, where Ariel and Eric we're getting married, Optimus reached in his pocket, grabbed a box and handed it to Mckayla.

Shocked, she looked at it and opened it slowly, she gasped and covered her mouth. It was a diamond ring. She looked at him and then lunged toward him, wrapping her arms around his neck. She pulled away and she started to burst into tears as he put the ring on her finger, and then they kissed right at the moment Ariel and Eric kissed.
