8 months later....

Ratchet walked with Soundwave and his girlfriend Iris to the Core. After the end of the Second War, Ratchet came to Cybertron immediately to aid his Team and McKayla with anything that they needed.

The city was still being rebuilt but thanks to Soundwave and everyone coming together to fix Cybertron, Cybertron would be whole again in about another few months. Iris wrapped her arms around Soundwave's arm, she was laughing and teasing him as she loved to see his screen turn red. Ratchet grumbled as he was trying to focus on his tablet. Soundwave slowly fell in love Iris; he admired her when she patched him up and then offered to fix Laserbeak. At first, he didn't know what the feeling was until McKayla found out and told him how Optimus was the exact same way.

Iris felt bad at first as Soundwave would constantly give her flowers or gifts to thank her or would constantly follow her around like a lost puppy, she assured him over and over again that she was just doing her job and that no thanks was necessary. But then she confessed that she always thought he was one of the coolest Decepticons when she learned about him through the War stories, and with Soundwave saving her life and her small crush on him, she fell in love with him too.

Iris was holding flowers in her hand that he gave her, but she was wanting to give them to Optimus's memorial inside of the center of Cybertron, Soundwave agreed.

They were all going to visit the memorial and also check on the Core for they were getting strange readings from the inside.

"You two are worse than Arcee and Bumblebee, heck even worse than McKayla and Optimus when they were first dating".

"Oh Ratchet! When are you going to find a sparkmate?" Iris exclaimed.

"Probably never, I am far too busy with more important things thank you".

Soundwave and Iris looked at each other.

"Married to his work". Soundwave whispered.

"I concur". Iris whispered back

They entered the building; they all saw a figure in front of Optimus's memorial.

"Excuse us we were just wanting to visit the memorial but if you need some privacy, we can come back later". Ratchet spoke to the figure.

"No need Old Friend, I would like some company". The voice spoke.

Ratchet dropped his tablet; he couldn't believe what his optics or audio receivers were processing.

"Op..Optimus?"

Ratchet ran toward the figure and Soundwave and Iris followed.

Ratchet stood in front of the figure; it was Optimus, it was really him.

"Optimus? How-"

"The Primes sent me back, I guess I was still needed here in the land of the living". He smiled

"You Guess???" Ratchet yelled.

"It's so good to see you Old Friend".

"HAHAHA! It's so good to see you too Old Friend!"

Ratchet and Optimus shook hands, Soundwave and Iris watched in awe, they couldn't believe it, he was back.

"Soundwave and Iris, it's good to see you too".

"It's so good to see you!" Iris leaped up in joy and hugged Optimus's arm and then let go and gave him the flowers.

Optimus chuckled and thanked her, and Soundwave came over and shook Optimus's hand.
