Outside the FAYZ

Chapter 24

Sam and Astrid who were still in the living room, waiting for Diana to wake up, decided to go to bed in one of the guest rooms and to check on Diana in the morning. They walked down the hall toward one of the rooms and got ready for bed. Sam, after he brushed his teeth and took off his shoes, just flopped on the bed facedown and snored loudly. This act earned him a slap on his back followed by a punch to his shoulder, both delivered by Astrid. "Ow, what the hell?" Sam protested. "Quit playing and scoot over,"Astrid bristled. Sam grinned and said,"Only if you say please."Astrid just crossed her arms and glared at him giving Sam the silent treatment. "Aww.....don't be like that," he teased. She just looked at him. "Come on, I was just playing." He scooted over and said,"There will that make you happy?" She just climbed into bed and faced away from Sam. Sam, not quite finished messing with Astrid, rolled all the way over to Astrid's unforgiving territory and tickled her. She laughed uncontrollably and tried to scratch and punch Sam but it was useless. Sam laughed at her as he kept tickling her, while dodging her punches. As Sam took the time to dodge her punches,  Astrid managed to get a hold of her pillow, while still laughing histeracally. She then tossed the pillow at Sam, which caused him to roll off of her onto the floor. She wiped the tears off her face that had appeared because of the tickling. She got up and found Sam on the floor still laughing at her. She picked up the pillow she had used to defeat Sam, kneeled down and got on top of Sam in order to place the pillow on his face. She could still hear his now muffled laughs under the pillow. "Shut up, Sam or I'll stay here all night until you choke." She heard him say,"Fine by me, at least I get to die with you on top of me." Astrid groaned with disgust and got off of Sam. He looked up at her and was leaning towards her.........................when she pushed him away."No way! After what you just did there's no way in hell I'll kiss you!" She threw the pillow at him as he gave her his saddest looking face. "NO!," Astrid announced. " You know what? You're sleeping on the floor tonight,"Astrid told a very sad looking Sam. "But, but........", Sam pleaded. "Too bad,"answered Astrid as she climbed back onto the bed. Sam just sat there pouting, when another pillow and a blanket were thrown at him. " Here that's all you're getting," Astrid said. Sam sighed and laid on the cold wooden floor. He now lay thinking about how it would feel to be in a soft warm bed............... "Don't even think about it, Sam," Astrid said out of the blue as if she had read Sam's thoughts. Sam smiled, gave up,and eventually fell asleep.
