'... The car of the train lightly swayed by the swift movement of the locomotive, - the loud rattling sound of the wheels gliding across the tracks at a fast speed was a consistent noise that could be heard throughout the passenger cars.

But the laughter and noise of chatter inside of the car seemed to block any other disruption - for this wasn't just a regular passenger car; it was one that also carried the Beatles, on their way to perform in Washington D.C.

"Smile!" Ringo's voice could be heard throughout the car.

John flared his nose at all the cameras that were pointing in his direction, flashing a silly and unattractive smile.

"Isn't he pretty?" Ringo smiled back at John, as boastful laughter from the photographers echoed around them.

Lacey snapped a few pictures of John's obnoxious smile, with a smirk that crept at the corner of her lips behind her camera. Once she finished, she lowered the lens, meeting her eyes with his.

The vivid white and large smile she flashed at him made all of his insides scream with joy. Although he was exhausted, in a foreign country with absolutely no privacy, her smile made him feel at home. It was torture for him to not be able to find time alone with Lacey, especially since Cyn decided to come on this trip.

His plan seemed it was going very smoothly; not a single person suspected anything. After hearing that Brian was looking for a photographer to accompany them on their first trip to America to capture all the behind-the-scenes moments, he knew it was the only way he could get to spend more time with her.

"Let's get a big ol' smile from the two of you, huh?" She motioned for Ringo to lean closer to John as she pulled the camera up to her face.

After snapping the picture, she glimpsed at all the photographers crowding around her, snapping the same picture of both of them.

"Ah, look what you've done now," John chuckled, listening to the consistent sound of clicks coming from their camera shutters, "Now they all have the same one."

"Lace, can I see it?" Ringo pointed a finger at her camera, "Let me get the inside shots for you."

She raised an eyebrow with a smirk on her face, "Do I need to remind you who the Beatle here is?" Lacey gently handed over her camera to Ringo, watching him place the strap around his neck.

"Cheers," he said with a cheeky grin, approaching other photographers and asking them the same question,

"I don't even want to know what he's up to," Lacey chuckled, finding a seat next to John.

Both of their eyes watched Ringo pile camera upon camera around his neck as two men had been filming it with their very large film cameras. All the photographers and crew were getting a kick out of the show Ringo was putting on. John knew that if he wanted to sneak out, this was his moment.

"I'm gonna head back and look for Cyn," he cleared his throat, lowering his voice to Lacey, "If you'd like a private interview, I suggest now would be the time."

Lacey's eyes widened with a devilish smile on her face. She was craving some alone time with John but realized with all the hype, it was going to be damn near impossible. John gradually stood up to his feet, making his way to the back of the car, stopping to converse with Brian for a moment, then leaving out the back door.

John passed different rooms, skimming for an empty one, more specifically a private one. This wasn't the first time he had done something like this, desperately searching for someplace private. Finally, he found an empty one with a lock on the door, just at the back of the car. He placed an unlit cigarette and the bottom of the door, which was the usual signal he used for her.
