"Indeed, along with hardship there  is ease." Alam Nashrah.

16 January 2015.

The wind was calm, as calm as it could it be. Delivering a new message, waiting for a new beginning. The only sound of life that ringed in the air was the birds tweeting on the Neem tree.

Hamza was sitting in his garden after so many days. The one place in this house, in which he found peace. His wheelchair was placed beside his chair and he looked towards the sky.

Looking at the birds flying in the sky, always made him feel free. Symbolizing the message of freedom and peace. He wanted to be as liberated as them.

"Sadiq Baba?" He called his servant whom he had always seen around the house doing the daily chores since Hamza was a little kid. Right now he was watering the plants.

"Yes, sahib? Do you need any help?" He came rushing towards Hamza.

"No. If I asked you a question, will you answer me with complete honesty?" His eyes were empty and deserted.

"Yes sahib." Sadiq Baba answered patiently.

"Have you ever been lost?" He asked.

"We all have a phase of life in which we can't find our way. But its okay to be lost, it just means that we have not found our destination yet. But you will find your way eventually sahib. Its going to be okay." Sadiq Baba answered him with complete honesty.

Hamza could not help but admit that Sadiq Baba's words actually made him feel better. He was right. Allah tests us all once in our life. He only tests those who he loves.

The past few month had not been easy on him, his parents had consulted different therapists for him. Hamza was finally pouring his heart out to someone. But he still could not see his future ahead of him and thought that he was not capable of anything but after all this time, he found himself smiling for the first time since the accident. He started laughing loudly and wholeheartedly. With all his heart, he laughed till he was feeling relieved. Like a burden had been lifted from his chest.

Tayyaba Shah was watching him quietly from the lounge and smiling with tears in her eyes. Her son was being healed slowly. He was laughing, the first step towards healing.

Mirha had finally reached her appartment after a long and tiring day. It was 12 am and she was completely exhausted. She went straight to her room and lied down on her bed.

A frame was placed on her bed side
table. Two girls were standing on the London bridge, wearing almost the same white shirts and leather jackets. Mirha and her sister Anabiya were smiling towards the camera. She couldn't believe that her sister was becoming a doctor in a few years. She was doing MBBS and was aspiring to be an oncologist.

It had been 4 or 5 days since she had called her. After a few rings she finally picked up.

"The number you have dialed, is currently sleeping. Please call in the morning."  Her sister spoke in a groggy voice.

"Wake up nerd. I want to talk to you." Mirha smiled.

"Ohhh! First you disappear for days and then suddenly remember that you also have a little sister and a mother?" Her sister was really pissed off at her.

"Ok I am sorry sis. I was a little busy." She tried to rationalize.

"And may I ask you, what you were busy with? Preparing another manuscript for a new book, dear sister?"

"Actually, I am writing someone's biography these days." She explained.

"And that someone is?" Anabiya interrogated.

"Hamza Shah. He is from Pakistan." Mirha told her.

"Is he handsome?" Her sister was being herself again.

"Shutup Biya!" Mirha laughed.

"I'll take that as a yes." She laughed along. "So tell me, what's his story?"

Mirha told her sister every detail. How he came. How they talked. How he opened up to her. How he went through it all. How he healed. Everything.

"Poor guy. I can't imagine what he went through." Anabiya actually felt deeply saddened for Hamza.

"I know right." Mirha once again remembered the isolation his eyes.

"But as for you, pity and sympathy are not the only emotions that you have for him." Anabiya smirked playfully.

"What do you mean?" Mirha was taken aback by her response.

"You have a thing for him, don't you?"

"WHAAT!?" Mirha was truly shocked

"Come on Mirha. I am your sister. Even 2 years younger than you, I still know you very well. The way you talk about him, the way you feel about him is very clear. And besides its high time that you settle down now. You are 24, successful and beautiful. Don't let the guy go." Her sister lectured her.

"God, you are such a shithead Biya. I can't believe that you are my sister sometimes. And what are you, my mother? I will settle down when I would want to. And I have no feelings for Hamza. He is just a really good friend." Mirha justified herself.

"Fine. But I am telling you, I have an instinct that you've something for him. Anyways, call me when you admit it." Anabiya tried to convince her.

"Whatever." Mirha hung up the phone.

She was lying straight on her bed, staring towards the ceiling. Her sister's words ringing in her ears. Mirha questioned herself.

"Do I really have feelings for him?" She wondered to herself.
