The chaos of Peshawar was the same as Hamza had left it. Although it had been developed in these 6 years. As soon as he landed, a certain wave of satisfaction had hit him. The feeling of being home again.Sadiq Baba came to receive him at the airport, Hamza spotted him out of the airport.
Hamza hugged him. "How are you chotay sahib? The house had become so empty without you." Sadiq Baba took his suitcase from him.
"I am completety fine Sadiq Baba. I missed you and Ammi Baba so much, infact missed Peshawar so much." They were on their way to his house now.
"How is Baba?" Hamza could'nt help but ask.
"He is not ok. He is in the hospital. Your mother is very worried." Sadiq Baba sighed deeply.
Hamza looked out of the window and wondered. This city was his home yet it he still did not have any good memories with it.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Tayyaba came rushing towards him. Her only son came back after 6 years."Hamza meri jaan I missed you so much." She hugged him.
"You can not imagine how much I missed you and Baba, Ammi." Hamza kissed her on the forehead.
"Now you are here right? Go and take a take a bath. I've prepared all of your favourite dishes for dinner." She held his face in her hands.
"I am coming in five minutes." Hamza went to his room.
His room was the same as he had left it. Not a single thing was touched. A photo frame was placed on his bed side table. It was a picture of him and his friends in the school ground. They were standing on the basketball field, smiling towards the camera. Hamza smiled with wet eyes, memories came like a storm. No matter what happens, he could not ever forget his friends. Friends are one's second family. They are not so easy to leave or forget.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Asad Shah's tumor had been in his brain for the past 6 years but Allah had granted him health and strength, hence he was able to survive. Hamza had thought about meeting his parents many times but never in his wildest dreams he had imagined reuniting with his father like this.He was lying on the hospital bed, his eyes closed and various machines connected to his body. Hamza entered the ward and sat beside him.
"Baba?" He whispered softly and placed his hand on his father's hand.
His father slowly opened his eyes, and found his son sitting beside him holding his hand.
"Hamza?" He whispered weakly. He was not aware that his son had arrived.
"Baba I am here now. I am with you." A tear escaped from Hamza's eyes.
"Oh, I missed you so much beta." He clasped his hands.
"I missed you so much more Baba. I hate seeing you like this. The doctors say that you have a chance of surviving in the surgery. I know you will get through this. You are a fighter." Hamza reassured him.
"My son, having you beside me is enough cure. I don't need anything now. Seeing you has taken away all the pain." He whispered.
Hamza felt a lump in his throat. His father was dying and he was completely powerless against it. He stood up and walked out of the room quickly. He did not want his father to watch him cry.
Hamza hid behind a pillar and sobbed till his eyes were all swollen and red. Thinking about his mother, the future, he had lost all hope. Once again in his life Hamza Shah was vulnerable against everything.

Hey people! This chapter highlights the importance of parents. Please spend time with them, receive their blessings and most of all value them. They need you. The things they do for us, the sacrifices they make can't ever be paid back. The least we can do is take care of them.My own grandmother survived cancer for 10 years and then passed away when I was only 2. May Allah grant her Jannah.
