"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR STEPHANIE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU... AND MANY MORE...", screams my fellow friends and family members. I take a deep breath and out went the candles. Everybody claps for me.

It has been a while sense I have made any kind of wish, but now that I'm 14 and it is almost time for my placing test, I finally have something to wish for. I wished that I would change sectors. Not a lot of people wish that, or at least aren't supposed to wish that, but I do.

I am Narcissistic, and I am not a big fan of all the chatter and stubbornness in my life. I feel too crowded and I can never get a break. By now I have gotten used to it, but I am still ready for the change.

But of course not all things are bad about the Narcissistic. One nice thing is that my family loves me, and a lot of other families love there children too. The one hard thing about leaving here is that I will have to leave my family. I have a singel mom, and a sister (Ashley). My dad died 3 years ago. I still haven't discovered how and why.

•Flashback to 3 years ago•

I woke up to wary quite. This is not normal in a Narcissistic house hold. At first I feel happy. Maybe things have changed! Maybe my life will not be full of obstacles and challenging! Wait... what if something is wrong. Maybe it is a dream.

I get up very quickly and sprint down the hallway and into my mother's room. As soon as I enter I know this is not a dream and something is very wrong. My mom gets up and slowly walks toward me, like she is weary or scared of me.

"What is wrong, Mom?", I ask. My sister walks in and sits next to my mom. She is 4, and doesn't seem to understand that something very bad has happened. "Oh...umm Stephanie can I talk to you privately?" she replies. Ashley (a/n Ashley is Stephanie's sister if you have forgotten) looks shocked and asks, "Why... what..." She loses her train of thought, "I'm hungry mommy". My mom chuckles very quietly and tells my sister, "Ashley will you please go in your room and get dressed, we are going somewhere for breakfast. Please wear your black dress, so we can all match". A smile slowly creeps across my sisters face. She LOVES dressing up, like most Narcissists. "Okay Mommy", she replies. Ashley skips out of the room happily.

I look at Mom and as soon as Ashley left a dark showdown returns to her face. "Where is Dad?" I ask. "Gone", Mom replies with a blank expression on her face. I stare at her in shock. my first reaction is to sink to my knees and bury my face into my hands. I cry and cry. my mom doesn't try to comfort me, I realize after a while it isn't because she doesn't want to it is because she doesn't know how. This is defiantly a Narcissistic trait.

As soon as I calm down enough to somewhat talk, I try to say, "Wha...wha...why? Who di...did it?", I wail. " WHY WON'T YOU TELL ME? ANSWER ME!". I sob into my hands and scream. My mom looks at me with a pitiful look on her face. She turns away and grumbles, "I'm going to go break the news to your sister. We are going to his funeral this afternoon." I must look defeated because she turns around just before walking out of her room and says, "Be brave, that is what he would want you to do. Be brave Steph, be brave". She disappears from my view, leaving me alone just like my father did.
