It turns out that I did sleep last night, and I SLEPT IN! Now I am rushing to get out of the door. I take a look over my shoulder at the house I grew up in, there is no turning back. I turn toward the car, but then I hear barking. I forgot to say bye to Barney, my 2 year old German Shepard puppy. So I DO turn back and cuddle with Barney. I kiss him on the top of his nose, and then sprint out of the door without a second glance.
I am L-E-A-V-I-N-G. For good. My mom calls from the car, "Time to go honey". "Mmk", I sort of murmur back. I doubt she herd that. I take a deep breath and say, "Be there in a sec". My voice sounds like a five year old's, after they have been crying. I look at my shoes, today I am wearing dark gray converse. I will wear these all the days I do something new, unless they don't fit me, of course. I know that I will always keep these. Forever. And. Always.

I walk into the testing lavatory for hopefully the last time. I try to keep a straight face and tell my mom, "Hey mom, I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back". "Sure you will. Fine", she replies. I smile to myself. Only a few more hours of this Narcissistic attitude. I go into the hallway where the bathrooms are and then turn right towards where my testing room was. Ahead of me I see Louis, in front of his testing room. I jog towards him, and he rushes me into the room.
"Well, what did you decide?" he says. "I haven't", I sigh. "Can you test me for Gallant or Eloquent?" I ask. "I can try", he says. He just gives me a pill. The pill is purple, the color of the Gallant. I swallow it, and then drink the glass of water he hands me.
My world goes black. I wake up in an alleyway. It is dark and there is a cold breeze. I stand up and hear something, voices. One voice is coming from the right and the other is coming from the left. The right voice sounds like a man, the other sounds like a child. I am between them. I try to listen to their conversation, but all I hear is murmuring. But then I hear footsteps. And they are heading towards me. I can't tell whose footsteps they are until I feel a big, heavy hand on my shoulder. I think that first reaction is to scream, but instead I punch the figure in the stomach. Hard. The figure screams out in pain. Then I am able to see who it is. It is a very muscular man with a cloth bag, a bag big enough to stuff a child into. I head towards the left, where I heard the child's voice, slowly. Then I sprint down the alley until I can't breath. I stop for maybe three seconds and then keep running. I need to save the child.
Then my eyes stop working for a second and the lights turn back on. I am back in the testing room. "Well", I ask, "How did I do?" "I don't now yet," he replies. He gives me another pill. This pill is yellow, the color of the Eloquent sector. I swallow and brace myself for whatever comes next.

When I see light again, I am lying on a cot. My limbs are strapped to the cot, so I can't go anywhere. I hear scratching at the other end of the room. Then I hear a voice. It says, "You have two more minutes until your execution." Uhh... that's not good. I start to rattle the cot, and the cot flips over. I am still attached to the cot, so I am dangling a few inches off the ground. I sigh in frustration. Then I see a knife. It is just left of my hand. If I can grab it, I will cut my straps of of my wrists. Then I can escape!
I start to wriggle to the left, until my hand is right above the knife. I glance to my right just for a moment and notice a key standing just to the right of my hand. I ignore the key and grab the knife. I cut through the ropes and then grab the key. I sprint to the door, where I herd the voice and unlock the door.
I black out and I am back in the lab again. I look over at Louis, that is now sitting at a computer. I glance over his shoulder and see what he typed for my results:
Stephanie Mathews- Gallant
"What do you think?" he asks. "Fine, sounds great," I reply with a big smile on my face. I turn to leave, but Louis says, "Be careful, I'm not sure if people like the Diverse." "Diverse? That is what I am called?" I grin. "It is the best that I could come up with," he responds. I laugh, "Good thinking." I turn and walk out the door. Gallant, ready or not here I come.
