"Hmmm... they should be here right now."
*Clock strikes three.*
"I wonder if they will really come. They really have a tendency to stay at home and not go to my home. But it is really understandable, I'm already 50 years of age. I never really asked or counted their age, I'm guessing they're 90.
"Now I know why they say: Ah, the good old days. I miss the times when I get to hang around with my friends, get to play around, do stuff. Now, I usually just sit around, sip tea, watch television, all of that boring stuff. It's been almost a decade that I haven't saw them."
"I really miss them."
*tick, tock, tick, tock.*
"Confounded clock's ticking too loud. They really might not go here. Oh, well. I'll just read some books. Better try this one."
*Clock strikes six."
"This story's getting quite interesting..."
*Hears knocks on door.*
"That must be them! Finally, I can see their faces again. I don't have to be lonely for a while!"
*Hears barking.*
"Is that Betty who's barking? She's still alive for 8 years? For a dog's age, that's a pretty long span."
*Opens door.*
Parents: "Hello son!"
Son: "Mom, dad, you really came! You even brought Betty with you."
Mother: "I knew you will be happy if we brought her with us, son."
Son: "So, should I get you food? I could whip up a meal in an instant."
Father: "No thanks, Harold. Let's just get straight to murdering the girl."
*Muffled screams*
Son: "That's fine for me, I'll get the knives. But should we torture her first?"
Parents: "No."
Son: "Fine."
*Grabs knives*
"Time to say goodbye, Miss Amberheart."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
