You were in an endless, dark void of some sort. You recognized this place by now, you'd seen it more times than you ever thought possible.

"Why does this keep happening..?" You asked the darkness in terror, you were somehow able to think and talk to yourself as if you were awake, but you knew you weren't.

Your eyes darted all around the pitch black area in futile attempts of looking for an escape route, but there was nowhere to go. Despite this you started running, knowing that if you didn't at least try to move there would be a worse horror to come than just this.

"(Y/n)..." A voice whispered maliciously. You'd heard this voice numerous times, but chills raced down your spine each and every time you heard it as if it were the first. It was very deep, almost monstrous, and as it sounded you tried to pick up the pace.

"Leave me alone!" You shouted, not daring to look back. You could feel your heart thudding rapidly in your chest as you started to pant, trying your hardest to find some way out.

"You cannot escape your fate, child." Was all the voice said in reply, as if your own wasn't heard.

"HELP!" You screamed, noticing the ground beneath your feet begin to crack and immediately cave in, allowing you to fall into a sea of dark red.

You quickly swam up and forced your head out from the surface, gasping for breath as you tried to stay above the -what you hoped was- water. All you could see was a mixture of black and red all around you, and when you looked down at the liquid you were surrounded by all you could see was darkness. Eventually some of it splashed in your face and you struggled to fight against the tide, refusing to let yourself sink. You had to stay afloat, you weren't sure why, since it was juts a cruel nightmare, but something in you demanded that you fight back. Your eyes stung terribly from the liquid sticking to them, but you tried to shake it off and focus on staying above the 'water'.

"Your life holds little value, why fight the destiny you've been given? Regardless, you will meet your end soon enough."

You wanted to shout back at the voice in spite and confusion, but you had to focus on swimming, which was becoming more and more difficult as time went by.

"Wake up... please..!" You begged yourself, feeling the 'water' in your eyes cause an unbearable burning sensation.

Suddenly, you looked to one side to see an enormous wave approaching, and your heart felt like it'd stopped.

"WAKE UP!!" You yelled as loud as humanly possible as the wave towered over you, and seconds before it crashed down you squeezed your eyes shut in pure terror.

But when you opened them again, you found yourself lying in your sleeping bag curled up in a ball.

You sat upright in shock, gasping quietly for breath and putting a hand to your chest in an attempt to still the violent pounding of your heart. You'd finally woken up...

Once you managed to catch your breath you buried your face in your hands, feeling tears start to flood your eyes and easily spill over.

You'd been having nightmares such as that one for the last week, with each one being worse and going on longer than the last. You'd hardly gotten any sleep unless it was an afternoon nap, and your drowsiness was starting to show. Ghirahim had asked you earlier that day if you were feeling alright, but you tried to assure him that you were fine even though you knew you truly weren't. You couldn't stand the thought of him mocking you for having nightmares and actually being scared of them, it made you want to hide under a rock. Though a part of you wanted to believe that he would understand, you decided it would be better to just keep it hidden and hope it would go away on its own.
