Self esteem

I wanted to point something out. My friend drew this and said it looked awful. At first glance, it looks pretty. You don't notice the flaws in it until you've looked at it for a while, and by then you've already committed to thinking it was cool. You don't judge it; it's someone else's work. It's the same with people. (Hopefully) you don't judge every person who walks by you, noticing each and every one of their flaws. I guarantee that they don't do the same back. If you are in middle or high school, most people are too worried about what other people think of them, that they are too busy to judge you. Now I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that there won't be people at school or home who talk about you and point out that stuff on a daily basis, but what I'm trying to get across is that in a room full of people you don't know, people glance at you and only see the surface, not that pimple you've been obsessing over for a few days, or that your hair is slightly messy. You notice that stuff because it matters to you, not them. What I try to do is think about how I see people. For me, when I first meet someone, even if their hair is messy or they have acne or something, I just think they're normal. And that's good. I really don't think I'm doing a good job getting my point across, but I want to say one more thing. Some people on Wattpad have face reveal books or selfie books or whatever they want to call them; so do I. Let me ask you this. When you see those, how often do you judge them, think they look ugly or weird? How many of you see them post something self- consciously and rush into the comments to tell them how beautiful, how amazingly perfect they look. A lot of the time, you'll get replies like ' I'm really not but thank you' you don't want to see the bad in people, you consciously look only for the good. Count on others to do the same. This won't fix all of you problems; we are all going to feel self conscious at times, but it's nice to be able to imagine people see you as you would see a complete stranger. Not judgmentally, but as just another human being. I hope this helps someone. If y'all ever need to talk, just message me, I'm always here and will never judge.
