Aizawa
"The number 7 pro hero, Element, is officially abducted, according to Police. She was last seen in this video 2 days ago after turning herself over in exchange for the hostages.
After a thorough investigation of all the footage available, Police say it's clear the League of Villains has kidnapped the pro hero. Her whereabouts are still unknown and police urge the public with any information to step forward as soon as possible.
Again, we ask, where is Element? And is she alive? I'm Haruto Hinata with your 7 o' clock news. We'll be right back."
The news went to commercial and I leaned forward on my couch, rubbing the stubble on my jaw in thought.
Two days. 48 hours since I last saw her. All Might, Yamada, and I all worked together with the police yesterday, trying to dig up anything that could help us find her, but we kept coming up short. Dead end after dead end.
One of my cats, Sushi, hopped onto the couch then, rubbing her soft head against my arm. I scooped her up and cradled her in my arms, petting her plush fur until she vibrated from her purr. For a moment, my cat's presence and cuddly nature was comforting.
But the moment left, and Akiyasu came back to my mind. The chances of finding her alive were dwindling. By the end of today, the likeliness that we'll be recovering her body will be much higher than a live rescue.
Pulling my phone from my pocket, I dialed Yamada's number and patiently listened to the ring. After the third one, he answered.
"What's up?"
"Anything yet?"
He sighed on the other end, the speaker crackling. "No. You should get some sleep, Eraser."
"That's physically impossible."
"She's my friend too and I'm just as worried as you are. We will find her, but you being sleep deprived won't help anything."
"I've tried sleeping."
"Instead of sitting around worrying, you should be relaxing."
"Have you relaxed at all since she disappeared?" I countered.
"Of course I haven't, but I'm always well rested."
Both of us fell silent, a rarity for Present Mic, but he was the first to break it. "Seriously, Shota, go to bed."
"Fine. But if you don't call me the minute you hear something, I will actually kill you."
"Sounds fair." He said, hanging up without a goodbye.
I dropped my phone back on to my lap and looked down at Sushi, her emerald eyes bright against the white and light grey fur on her face. "Don't you hesitate to wake me up if the phone doesn't." I ordered her and she blinked in response. "Thank you."
My second cat head butt my legs then, leaving her black fur on my clothes. "I haven't forgotten about you, Kiwi." Picking up the black cat, I moved sideways and laid down across the entire couch, pulling my cats onto my chest. Both of them curled on to me, purring in sync and lulling me to sleep.
