;you;
"You really believe that now is a good time to give up, Y/n? You really think that now is a good time to die? You really dream that now is a good time to let everything go? Like you meant nothing to the gods? Your time has not come. We need you more than you need yourself. We'll never admit it face to face but we need demi-gods like you and if Apollo and Artemis can't protect you out here, I can."
I coughed up water, it hitting me back in my face. My stomach hurt and my lungs were sore. It felt as if I just got hit by a jackhammer.
"Are you okay?" an angelic voice asked.
I stared up at a woman with light orange braided hair and chocolate brown eyes that had a sparkle in them.
"Wh-Who are you?" I asked, my hands planting into the sand underneath me, holding up my torso.
"My name is Calypso and this is my home, Ogygia," she said, cheerfully.
I stared at here hardly before I actually took a look around. Just a big island with one house and a garden.
"I'm Y/n and I'm guessing we're the only people on this island, aren't you?"
She had a soft, sad look, as if hoping that everything in her reality was fake--- maybe even non-existent. She nodded silently, not even letting her mouth drop a bit.
"Well, I'm guessing you don't have a bunch of visitors seeing as we're stuck on an island surrounded by water. So, what do you do around here?"
She sighed. "Well, I sit and grow my plants. I can't do anything really. I don't get many visitors. Every once in a while, a hero will be stranded on my island. A hero that has a duty that's calling for them. A hero that can never stay. I have my time with them and once I have feelings for them, they leave. It's because of my blood. My dad, Atlas, was a really bad guy-- that's why he's holding up the sky. The gods thought I was evil like him, so they trapped me on this island, getting teased and played with."
"That sound.. awful!" I stated.
She shrugged, looking away.
I sighed and stood up, brushing sand off my body. I felt horrible. I looked in front of me but Calypso wasn't there anymore. She disappeared into her house. I looked at the sea. Poseidon. He saved me.
"Thank you," I whispered.
'You're Welcome' the water spelled out. I smiled to myself and turned around, heading to Calypso's house. I figured I would keep her company while she had some.
--
Two days had gone by. I wanted to leave. Maybe she was strait because there no sign of anyone coming to take me away. I didn't know if I would ever leave and it didn't help that she showed no feelings for me. Unless I convince her to like me..
Sitting on a couch, I watched her read. With the scene playing in my head, I stood up. She glanced up and me as I walked her way. She looked back at her book, ignoring me.
I snatched the book out of her hands and put it to the side.
My knees then stuck beside her legs as I sat on her lap, wrapping my arms around her neck.
She looked me in my eyes, then her eyes traveled to my lips. She planted her lips on mine.
My eyes widened and I seemed to melt into the kiss. NO! This wasn't supposed to happen! I wasn't supposed to like it!
A knock interrupted. Thank the gods.
I stood up, getting off of Calypso. She stood up and walked to the door. When she opened it, a guy with brown hair stood there in a t-shirt and some sweatpants.
"Hermes.. You're back," Calypso said in a devastated tone.
"Yes... I need to have a chat with Y/n please."
I walked to Hermes, stepping out of the house with him.
"I feel awful leaving her alone here," he said, scratching the back of his neck, "but she has a horrible fate that will live on until she has been rescued--"
"You're sending me off cause she loves me?"
"I'm not sending you off cause she loves you. I'm sending you off cause my son is madly in love with you."
