;you;

I punched Jordan in the face with all my might.

"What the hell, Jordan!" I yelled at him, pushing him to the ground.

He groaned and held his face. He was obviously hurt and could do nothing about it. Tears streamed down his face.

"You deserve this, Creep!"

--

An Apollo kid found Jordan in the woods and took him to the infirmary. They lectured me about beating up kids and I rolled my eyes and stomped away like the angsty teenager I am.

I wanted Luke so badly right now. All the Aphrodite kids were sending me glares and I just wanted him next to me. He had all the confidence. He could carry me through this and tell me to ignore those - as he calls them - Non-virgin Barbies. Then I would look him in the eyes and say 'Who said Barbie was a virgin?' and we would laugh together about it. Well, we used to.

Us falling out of friendship was hard on me. Because I wanted more than a friendship from that boy. I wanted his heart in trade for mine.

I can't get out of my head that one time we almost kissed. But of course he interrupted it and put me in need of the feeling.

Today he was supposed to come back. I prayed to Aphrodite that he would. I told her that I need him here so I can love him.

I sat in the pavilion and put my head in my hands.

Then, I heard a guy yelling. I knew that voice. It was an Apollo kid that was always on patrol. The kid that yelled at me for hitting Jordan. When I asked around, they said his name is Kenny.

He walked into camp with a limp body in his arms. Under the body, I saw a white flag in Kenny's hand.

No.. it can't be. Please tell me it's not.

"We can still save him! Get the best medics in camp! He's losing blood fast!" Kenny yelled to the camp.

I focused on him and his features. Just like his dad. Then, back at the body.

It was who I thought it was and I didn't want to believe my eyes to the scene in front of me.

Luke sure came home today with a surrender flag. But, I guess the Ares kids got to him before he could get to Chiron.

The Ares kids were in a bunch, staring at Luke's body in horror.

Tears fell down my cheeks as all the Apollo kids followed Kenny into the infirmary.

One of the girls slung her arm around my shoulders and brung me with them.

"We wouldn't let him die. We'll try to keep him alive. For you."

My eyes felt heavy as they gushed waterfalls.

  1 O'clock.

  4 O'clock.

  9 O'clock.

Hours upon hours of sitting with Luke. I never walked out of the infirmary once.

I wanted to see his eyes open. I wanted to know he was alive.

I rested my head on his chest. I could hear his heart beating.

He was in a coma from what I heard. They didn't know how to wake him. I didn't either.

I took my head away from his chest and leaned back in my chair. 'Sleep and maybe he'll be there in the morning' my brain told me.
