Lindsay Jones was your normal girl.
She had a 9 to 5 job working as a waitress at a local coffee shop in her small town in the middle of nowhere, she had a chirpy parrot keeping her company in her small but doable apartment, but she was very lonely.
Being an only child and having lost both her parents at a young age with time she had learned how to survive for herself. Foster homes were never good to her and by the time she was 18 she had her life planned out. She didn't want anything big, just a simple life filled with all her needed accomodeties. And she succeeded. Again, with time she learned another thing though- a simple life became too boring after having it for years.
Yes, she knew she should be glad she was living like that because some people couldn't even have half of what little she had but it was still her life and she couldn't be satisfied with it.
Having barely a person she could call a friend didn't help either.
At the coffee shop she had colleagues but for some reason they weren't very fond of her. They always made plans to party after work but at those moments it was as if Lindsay wasn't their coworker. She was hurt but got used to it.
There was one person she could call a friend but sadly she was a 73 year old lady that lived in her building and she met and talked to every morning before work in front of the building where the lady, Silvia, sat on a bench feeding the pigeons and other birds that wanted some bread. Silvia was also a well known cat lady even though she didn't own one, but she just adored being surrounded by the local felines. Cats absolutely adored Silvia, she fed them, pet them and gave them all the love they needed so how can they possibly not love her?
For Lindsay those moments spent with Silvia were the highlight of her day.
At night, when she would come back from work it was a routine for her to feed her parrot Keke, shower, put on her fluffy pink robe, make some dinner and sit down and enjoy it on the side of her window that looked upon the star filled night sky. There were buildings from every side of Lindsay's building but at that spot there was just enough space for the sky to peak and Lindsay loved to stargaze.
It was a good thing her apartment was on the 6th storey so none of the happenings from the alleyways would be heard up there and it was completely quiet. If the talks with Silvia were the highlight of her day, this would be the highlight of her night.
As she was sitting like that one night, slurping on some warm noodles she heard a soft "meow" come from outside and she peaked outside to see the most beautiful white cat sitting comfortably on the fire escape stairs of the building.
"Here kitty, come here." She spoke softly to the cat as she reached out her hand to bring it to her. The cat perked it's ears up and with calculated steps it reached Lindsay's side. It sat down next to her and purred as Lindsay pet it's fluffy and warm fur. From up close Lindsay could see that this was a very special looking cat, with bigger ears than most, that were twirled at the ends into little swirls and it's tail was long and had the exact same twirl as the ears. When the cat looked at her Lindsay was left in awe since the cat had the most mesmerising green eyes she had ever seen.
Lindsay wondered if this cat had ever come to Silvia but she would've had some recollection of seeing it, she couldn't possibly forget an animal that looked like this.
"Do you have a home kitty?" She asked to which the cat responded with a purr and it cuddled closer to Lindsay's lap.
"I'll keep you. I hope you don't mind my parrot." She smiled at the cat and caressed it's head.
"I'll name you...Cotton." She decided on it's name. She stood up and picked up the cat, walking inside amd closing the window.
She left the cat on her sofa and went to leave the empty bowl in her kitchen and when she was coming back she had another bowl of water for the cat.
She dropped the bowl from her hands as she saw what stood in front of her.
"Y-y-you..." She trembled as she weakly pointed her finger to the woman standing at the same spot she left the cat at. It couldn't possibly be. Lindsay was in utter shock.
"My name is Bianca." The woman spoke with a voice as smooth as silk, womanly and like music to the ears.
Lindsay stared at her for a moment longer as she studied her beautiful features, from her piercing green eyes and freckled cheeks, to her milky white skin and long, pure white hair, falling straight down to her waist half covering her naked body.
"H-how? A-are y-you..?" Lindsay was barely able to form half a sentence.
"Yes. Don't be scared please. I am the cat. But don't fear me." Bianca, the beautiful woman, spoke.
"H-how?"
"Dear, if only you knew about everything that existed in this world you wouldn't be so surprised to see a cat person." Bianca said as she sat down on the sofa.
Oddly enough, Lindsay didn't feel afraid. She felt like she could trust this woman, even though she's basically a stranger.
And Lindsay knew that from that moment on, her life would definitely not be boring anymore.
